On my HRC, the 2 of Hearts Dropdown switch seems to have an issue as it recently stopped registering in-game (game doesn't recognize that it was hit and the light does not light up).

When I go to diagnostics, I can see that the switch "activates" (the orange square in the matrix gets filled-in) and deactivates (orange square clears) when I trip and reset the target, but the diagnostics do not seem to recognize or do anything else to respond to that switch closure (All the other switches register in diagnostics with the "bing" and the screen gives the number/description of the switch that was closed).

All of the other switches in both that row and column seem to be working correctly when it close/open them in diagnostics.

I've been in the hobby for a couple of years now, but I'm still a little green when it comes to sorting out this sort of problem. Any ideas or tactical advice is greatly welcomed.

Thanks

Small update. I closed up the machine and played a couple games to see if I could find any other gremlins, but on the second hit, the 2 of hearts dropdown switch worked and seems to be working correctly again (for now). Seems like a flaky connection possible somewhere, but when I wiggled everything I could think of in the diag tests, I never made it work.

check to see if the connector to the target has not come off , they are poorly designed , use some silicone to keep it on

Ok. I didn't want to just start tugging too much. It does have some sort of silicone or wrap around it....I can't tell if it is soldered on or if I should be able to just pull it off and on. Would it be typical for this to be soldered or just a "plug" sort of connection?

Thanks for taking the time to help...greatly appreciated.
Isn't that the connector for the standup target (the connector that you're pointing at)?
