I decided to upgrade the roms in my TAF to the TAFG roms, and now the machine won't boot. I flashed the game rom and sound roms with the new version, and the game buzzes loudly when turned on. As a test, I just removed the eproms and even with them removed the machine still buzzes loudly. Like an idiot, I did install the sound eproms backwards at one point, but I flashed brand new chips and am still getting this problem.

Did I damage the board when I put the sound roms in backwards? I am not sure how to diagnose the problem.

No, and I think that is the issue. The game rom file is 512KB and all I had was a 1024KB EPROM. So by using "copy /b tafg.rom+tafg.rom new.rom" I made a 1024KB rom file. Logically that should work and not screw up the bank switching, but I guess not.

I will order the correct size EPROM and try again. Thanks everyone!
