Yeah, buying a NIB older stern makes very little sense from a monetary perspective unless you are okay losing a lot of money on resale. You can hope you get lucky and can pounce on a used one quick or just accept an extra 500 dollar loss on resale. I guess it is nice to have the option to get the machine though if you really want one.

Though, I'm kind of curious how the market value for used ST will change once people start selling their "vault" editions. I wonder if it will creep back up to the 5-5.2K level.
