I would expect that in a few years we may finally see prices drop off. All these nib buyers will be bored of the game in a few years and once Covid lockdown is done

    Quoted from Kiwipinhead:

A couple of TZ pins have sold for $17 K in the last 2 months here in NZ.

That is crazy. Once Covid is over... I would happily hand deliver my nice sample TZ for that price. Would be a nice vacation and I would visit my buddy RD on the trip.

    Quoted from renvhoek:

It's my opinion that higher rated pinballs from the 1998-2012 period are likely to have the most growth in value over the next few years.

If anything we are already and will continue to see the opposite. The post Williams era continues to show declines on the whole.

We have a recent uptick of sales price on many subpar games from this era due to the ever increasing price of brand new games propping up this more modern era games. Once Covid is over we will see the reality of this short uptick return to normal.

We also are already seeing many more recent games continue to take a hit.

Pre 2000 are classics and limited. Lots more new collectors in the hobby. Will be interested to see how many stick around once the world gets back to normal social stuff

    Quoted from renvhoek:

Some might argue that when this supply starts being met, that people will then, due to room issues, be releasing current games out of their collection into the market in mass, thus leading to lower prices on older titles.

More likely lower prices on more modern titles.

    Classics are just that...

Modern games are being cranked out at an astounding pace and let’s be honest that many Sterns are essentially very similar in overall feel.
