I've never seen a Super Mario before but there is one for sale by me. Looks to be in pretty nice condition. Is it a $2000+ Macine? I think it could be hard to resell if it doesn't click with me.
Thanks!

Sold mine earlier this year for $1500 in clean working shape (shopped, insert LEDs). It's a cool game but not very hard. People who buy it want it for the theme, mostly. Good first game, but in the end I would have rather had another game.
Mostly for people who have a few pins already and want to get a game for their kids. If you have kids (or not) why not get a World Cup Soccer, Jurassic Park, T2, Star Wars or Monopoly instead. They are in the price range.
Also the pin market is softening a little, so it will be tougher to "just swap a game out" in the future, so be picky on your titles.
Also a kid could either love the Mario pin or say "that's great Dad, can I play Minecraft now?".
HS2 is so much fun. Balance it out with a slower deeper pin mabey, or not.
Oh yeah, forgot to mention under $2000, so around $1500 - $1600. (Psst....keep looking for another unless you looooooove Mario).
I bought the game from rich. I looked for over a year for the game. I sold it a month later because I couldnt stand it.
Game is terrible. DO NOT pay over 2k for these.
1200 seems closer to reality. (unless you love Mario of course)
Super Mario, was Gottliebs first DMD game, so the dots are primitive and game play is basic. So only buy it if your a big Mario fan. And I agree with others don't pay more then $1500 for one.
My wife wants one, but she is a big retro game fan. And yes they are kinda hard to find.

Theme is great, implementation is ok, gameplay is pretty boring, scoring is very random. I would pick one up in a collection of 4-5 pins but only for $1500 or less, and it wouldn't last forever.
This is one of those machines that is low valued but also very scarce and hard to find. If you find one, arguing over a couple hundred bucks will probably mean you don't get the machine.
I've been watching for one near Chicago the past couple years and never seen one pop up.
mario usually runs around $1200. At $1500 you'd be hard pressed to find someone to take it. Most expensive and valuable gottlieb DMD is Stargate, and even on that one, you can find it all day for $1800-2200. Every other gottlieb is much much lower. SF2 i've passed on for $600-700. Can't give that POS away.
