Prices will depend upon condition of the pin obviously, but here are my estimates:

LOTR (Std):
Light use / drilled - $3500-4250
HUO - $4000-5000
NIB - $5000-5500

Spiderman:
Light use / drilled - $4000-4750
HUO - $4000-5000
NIB - $5000-5500

Spiderman's the newer of the two games, and more were produced. There are still plenty of examples to be found at distributors or eBay. Neither are particularly "rare", but I would guess that you'll spend a little more time finding the perfect LOTR...

Of the two, Spiderman HUO probably. Myself, if I was gung-ho to buy a Stern, I'd go for Batman, Family Guy or South Park. You're smart not to want to shell out for NIB.

LOTR runs from anywhere from 3400-3900. Depending on the game was on route or domestic. HUO LOTR LE can go for over 4K.

Lowest end of the price spectrum for a Red-Suit Spider-Man is $3300-3600 for a routed machine. Maybe 3900 or more for a HUO Red machine. Your probably looking over $4500 or more for a Black-Suit Spider-Man (HUO or rare NIB).

I wouldn't bother with a HUO currently with the notion that Stern is starting a run in a few weeks of fresh NIB Spider-Mans. I'd probably save up a few hundred bucks and pre-order/order one of the new NIB's.

As far as which I prefer (SM or LOTR), its down to preference. The price difference isn't that huge to be honest.
