The photos tell the tale. Project Dr Who. Appears mostly complete and will make for a solid players game once cleaned up.
From what I can see it is missing DMD driver and transformer. All game specific parts seem to be there. Cab is decent. PF has some insert issues, but still players condition.

What do you think pinside?

What is it worth?

tucked in the cab?

all appears to be tucked in the cab at the back

I would do 1200 cash after all the feedback.

Thanks all for the opinions.

Open to trade also. I will start a proper thread in the market once i get a chance.

Quoted from ForceFlow:

Yup, it's a basket case. Restorable, but there are some difficult missing parts to acquire, plus the backbox damage issues.
Have the boards been tested? If they are, you might be able to get closer to your asking price.
It's probably not going to fetch top dollar when it's fixed up.

gotta love the worlds greatest mod chiming in to make stuff up and try to make it sound worse than it is

backbox issues? The game is a project and dirty, but structurally sound. Not really sure what backbox issues you are making up.

basketcase is not really a proper assessment either since you have not been through the game to know if there are some sort of gremilins. It has unknowns, but it seems some seem to think it is worth 1200 range.

Others dislike me (like you) so there is some bias in your assessment/price compared to if someone else asked for a price check. I get that, but tacky to be chiming in as a mod.

game is tentatively gone.

Thanks for the price check pinside. Appreciate all the opinions, even those that bag but cant even provide an actual price. It is fun to do and I get it

Always nice to see the range on something like this that is hard to price out.

I had a buyer flake and no show after I thought it was gone. (it was one of the regional flippers and I figured I would give him another chance but lesson learned).

I am waiting a day for someone that wants to do a possible trade to get me some photos of their game. If that does not work out then this will be available again for sale or for trade.

I think I am pretty spot on with the 1200obo valuation. Similar to Troy I can quickly add up over $700-1000 in easily sellable and nice condition parts (translite, plastics all intact except slings, NICE ramps, lots of game specific parts that others likely need, etc...). In other words this is a low risk price for anyone that wants to bring it back to life. Worst case they decide that they are in over their head and can easily sell parts to recoup the purchase. Best case they put about $500 into it and have a very fun playing Dr Who.

Worth note that I have some legs and there is a lockdown bar and glass (just not in photos).

My preference is that this get brought back to life and not parted.

Quoted from dung:

Would people pay 1700 for a complete unshopped, but untested dr who in this condition?

I would probably haggle down to 1500, but that is just me.

#44 7 years ago

sold and gone.

Buyer is excited to bring it back to life and I am excited it is going to be brought back to life.

Quoted from nikpinball:

Tell him i have a transformer for 200

Will do. I have a feeling he has already seen your post even

I was told the buyer has this up and running and kept track of total costs.

Slim > want to share?

Quoted from Slim64:

As a follow up to those that might be interested.
Purchase price 1k
Transformer 150
Dmd driver and flipper boards 90
Secondary harness 90
Other wiring harnesses 40
Power interface box, cord, filter, switch, etc 60
Repairs needed
Driver board bridge
Audio board single cap and trace repair
Mpu 12v line trace repair
Mini PF transmission gear repair
Total for above 15.
Rubber kit/balls 30
Legs 60
Total invested cost 1535
Unfortunately I didn't keep track of my time since I'd work on it here and there as I slowly aquired the parts I needed.
Game plays just fine as is, I still need to fix the insert issues, but overall it doesn't effect game play.
Thanks again Hilton, my family is thrilled with having it here for them to play when visiting. They love the theme.

thanks for sharing and congrats brother!

I appreciate you sharing to show some of the loud haters what the real world expense was to bring this back to life. Glad we were both happy with the sale and most importantly that the game is back to life!
