Quoted from robotron911:2K tops if its missing blinders. In the condition you described, I wouldn't go above $1600.
1600? Good luck getting a collector to sell it for that.
Blinders come up for sale now and again. Someone was working on 3d printed ones on here, not sure if he still is.

What if it were in the same condition as listed by the OP, but with fully functioning blinders?

Looks like they are available from Germany

Bump for this question.
I looked for about 6 months to get mine, paid 3200 for it in ok-good condition but it was local so I didnt have to pay shipping plus it worked 100%. After I bought it I stayed on top of market because that is the way I am. One popped up in OC for 3600 (good condition, lasted about 3-4 weeks) on CL, and one in Ventura for about 3200 (horrible condition, guy was dreaming although the ad went away in about a month).
If I had to guess, the market value on this game is anywhere from 2-3.5k based on condition. For 2k expect it not to be working, and for 3.5 expect close to HUO. Based on you description above I would put this at 2200-2300. Remember to factor in shipping to your price so you don't get under water as that could be 300-400 if it is coming from another state.

Really? Bad DMD and what sounds like an average, at best, cab and trans. Who cares about LEDs? They don't add a penny of value since its pretty subjective what people think is attractive or garish. And there is a difference in value between a game with original blinders and these 3D printed versions. Tommy sells for $3K when its in really nice shape, this isn't that game.
And btw, when original blinders come up, they are typically around $500. So take my $1600 and add $500 for blinders and $200 for DMD and you get $2300, which is not unreasonable.
I believe the game in question is mine, it is posted in the market place here. I can tell you right now it will not sell for $1600. Good luck finding any decent title that is 100% operational for that price unless you can go back in time a few years. Although I am biased because it is mine, here is my logic. You can't buy a decent 100% functioning DMD title for less than $2000. Good luck with that. Although you, robotron, might not care for LEDs, most do. It makes for a brighter game and they run more efficient. Trust me, at this price they aren't baked into the price, they are a bonus. It has already been stated you can get a blinder setup for about $350, not $500. You can buy a perfectly working DMD off ebay for $80-90. So you are inflating your prices a bit to justify the initial appraisal.
I like the game a lot, so much at I bought another to upgrade the one I am selling. I paid $3000 for my new one. Cabinet in better shape, playfield about the same, DMD works 100% and blinders are there. Needed to be FULLY shopped and all rubbers replaced. That takes time and time equals money. Someone would charge a couple hundred bucks to do a playfield strip shop out. In addition to that I had to do some board work.
In the end I have regrets about upgrading. I don't feel the extra cost justified the blinder setup and one row of DMD dots. It was nice to have a little bit better cabinet but it still isn't collector quality. In fact there is a hole punched in the bottom about three inches in diameter. The blinders are cool but really they are only activated in Tommy Scoring mode, and if you are doing well in multi-ball. The game I am selling plays so well that in hindsight I should have stuck with it. Live and learn. At $2000 someone is getting a great machine. Yeah, it isn't perfect cosmetically but it is price accordingly and it is one of Data East's better titles.

As a seller, I would ask for $2,300 +/-.
As a buyer, I would want to pay $2,000 +/-.
So if both met in the middle, then $2,150 seems like a fair price to me for a game in the condition listed with blinders.
As listed, I think 2,000 is a fair price.

I would sell for $2000 just because my wife is up my ass about space and I have an STTNG coming I will need to move as well.

You should def upgrade to Chads 5.0 code. Lots of game tweaks and the blinders are utilised much more in the game.

Yes, really. 1600 for a tommy is a steal.
Bad dmd, 100 dollars for a replacement delivered to your door for a nice used one. Blinders are fully replaceable and while you want to sit and hate on 3d printed parts, most people won't know the difference. As for there being a difference in value, my bet is they start trading hands and people forget its not original so you won't see people taking a hit for it.
Be a purist, that is your prerogative, but your desired price is unrealistic to expect from a collector and it looks like everyone chiming in here agrees.

I have 5.0 in my machine. Seems blinders work in tommy scoring, multiball if you hit both jackpots and during cousin Kevin if you get more than three balls.

Also in Smash The Mirror mode
So they feature in 3 modes as opposed to the 1 mode in the original rules. And function differently in Multiball.
$2,000 is a good price for a Tommy. I have an extra set of blinders that I would sell for $350 shipped if someone wanted them
To answer the OP's question I'm in the 1600 camp, but I would still want to see it in person. And yes you can still find plenty of great games under 2K. FYI simply being a DMD game does not qualify it to be a 2K+ game.

I'm not trying shit on your FS post, but you commented on this post asking for what people thought it was worth. I didn't connect the two, so don't take this personally.
First, yes I could buy a used DMD for $80-90 and it would likely have a really short shelf life. When I quoted prices, I quoted for new. I'm not in the habit of putting used parts in my games, unless it's something that you can only source used (like blinders). Why buy a used DMD when you can spend the extra $100 and get a new one that will last as long as you have the game?
Second, I never said I didn't like LEDs, I said they add NOTHING to the price. LED use, choice, quality, etc. are all subjective and very few people agree what is tasteful vs. not. It's like tattoos.
Third, I quoted $500 for blinders because that is what the last two I saw sell for. I'm talking complete originals. So, someone offers $350, I'm not that far off.
You are quoting "You can't buy a decent 100% functioning title for less than $2000". That is NOT what you are offering here. You are offering one with a bad DMD and missing the apparatus that is arguably the most fundamental part of the game. And, yes, you can get fully functioning DMD games for less than $2000. That being said, you can ask what you want for your game and I don't think it's completely unreasonable. It's just not what I would pay, but it sounds like others would. Since your ad has been up for a bit, I think that may say something about the price vs. condition.
Tommy blinders are $350, yet i seen on another thread peeps saying a full Fish Tales topper was not worth $500 GEEZ.

I know what it's worth. I didn't ask for others opinions as I didn't start the thread. Please send a list of titles as good as Tommy 100% functioning with good playfields you can get for $2000. And no, Popeye, shaq attack and jokerz don't count as good titles.
Most dmds are take offs from color swaps. Some last forever, some don't. Worth buying a used on for me. I would never pay full freight on a stock new one.
Any Tommy you find me for $1600 I will buy right now. I challenge you to find one for sale for less than 2000.
