Most of this is going to come down to when and how they were done.
I see people asking crazy money for a 2008 HEP game that I myself would just gut today and redo entirely.
Not because it was bad work but because it in no way shape nor form represents more current HEP work or standards. Thats just how evolution works.
Those games were done for a fraction of what it cost compared to today’s games, standards or options.
A good place to start is if they are branded under the playfield with the company logo.
That puts them at at least 2013 or newer.
Still potentially ten years removed but a starting line.
People often ask if I keep records etc.
Not really I document my work usually in a form that is easy accessible but at the end of the day these are not my possessions nor am I selling them
I am providing a service.
HEP is geared more towards original owners than the secondary market. I don’t concern myself if people lose money anymore than if they make it. I also see them whored out after the fact with color flooded GI,terrible powder coating and shit show mods poorly added.
It’s their stuff once it leaves here that’s that.
I always say.
“I don’t care if they are worth $50 or $50,000 I wouldn’t do it for any less nor charge anymore.I price parts and labor, with labor being the currency that keeps the business afloat. “
Whatever it is they are worth it is going to typically be more than other examples. That’s the best I can do.
