Hey gang,

Looking for some advice on a fair price for this Maverick. These don't come up all that often, so I am having trouble figuring this one out. The playfield is in very nice condition, probably a couple bulbs out here and there. There seems to be an issue with the opto at the entrance to the Lauren Bell...it keeps triggering almost nonstop. Don't know if the whole opto needs replaced, or just adjusted. Two of the drop targets were replaced and no longer have the card decal on them. There is a cracked plastic towards the back right of the playfield. Finally, the cabinet has some dings (especially on the backbox), and there is some wear by the left flipper button. DMD is 100%. Here are some pics:

Thank you!

$1200ish is about the right price for what it sounds like you're describing, I'd say. The big DMD scares off a lot of people.

I'd say $1,200 is fair in that condition. The opto issue is pretty common. Drop targets are easy to replace and the card decals are still sold (doing this on mine now along with replacing the ramp). If you need a plastic, I probably have it. I think I have almost two complete sets.

It is a fun and challenging game for a cheap price. I really like mine.

Thanks guys. Trying to help my dad sell this and want to do right by him

#5 6 years ago

Any other takes on this price check, or is $1200 the thought?

#6 6 years ago

Totally fixed and shoppped $1200, as is $1000.

still one of the best buys in pinball. This machine is really good. The optos in the boat suck.... but I changed mine out with switches (similar to HS2) and it works flawless

Working with nice DMD and PF I would say almost automatically puts this one at least at $1000. I paid $1400 for mine, but had to have it - I would not have paid more than $1500 for it. It had bulbs out too, but everything else was good, including the topper. The optos can simply be misaligned, or wires broken, and they are just switches IMO should not be a showstopper. I snapped a target in half and bought both the targets and decal set from Marcos. It's a great bang for your buck class of game.

I think that is pretty low. $1200 is already pretty low when you figure the DMD costs almost half that. I think that at $1000 you would be giving it away.

I think my dad would be happy with $1000 as long as the buyer picked it up and did all the heavy lifting (has to come up a flight of basement stairs). I'll have to let him know and see what he thinks. Thanks to everyone who chimed in!

If the DMD works you'de probably make more than $1,000 parting it out. I'de list for at least $1,200 if not higher. They go for $1,300-$1,500 in these parts and they sell pretty fast. The optos just need to be realigned, they are weak on this game...they always go out. The decals can be bought for like 15 bucks. You may be able to find that plastic piece for like 20 or so.

I sold one about a year ago, fully working with a nice cabinet tiny amount of wear on one insert. Couldn't get $1050 for it here. I ended up selling it on ebay for about 1100.

$1100 after or before feebay fees? :-/

#19 6 years ago

I paid $1300 for mine, but it was in CQ shape...I think it's worth every penny and if you rethemed it rounders it would be a $3K pin.

A rounders pin, lol

I'd forgotten there was a Paddle Boat in Rounders, that'd fit right in! Rounders sounds more like a $500 theme to me but to each his own. I'd go Casino Royale myself.
