Wondering what current price is like for Pro Pool.

Assume non-working, but excellent cosmetic condition.

Thanks

$550 for one:
appleton.craigslist.org link

(has at least lasted a day so far.)

There was another one recently for $350, but looks like it sold (down in IL). I know of one other that recently sold for ~$600, and it was so-so.

Have seen very nice ones sit unsold at $1000-$1200 too.

It really depends on cosmetic condition and location.

Cool, thanks Dirt. Going to look at a local one this week. Few photos I have seen look stellar, but know its non-working. Was thinking somewhere in the 3-6 range, so doesn't seem I'm that far off.

Which is considered more desirable - this or Hot Shot ?

Ones AAB and one is Replay, depends on what you like. I personally do not care for AAB games.

"Pro Pool" is single player AAB. "Hot Shot"/"Big Shot" are multi player replay versions. When you ask which is more desireable, you have to go with "Pro Pool". As a general rule, single player games are more desireable than multi player games. "Pro Pool" is also a fairly low production game with only 800 made (per IPDB). That's very low compared to 2,900 for "Big Shot", and a whopping 9,000 "Hot Shot" units produced.

No contest for me - Pro Pool all the way!

It's single player progressive ball action is much more fun than single ball (then reset) multi-players Hot Shot and Big Shot. The fact that Pro Pool is an add-a-ball too (and one of the best ones at that!) is frosting on the cake!

I love it. Simple, wonderful layout. It's next to my Dimension.

I totally agree!!!

Well, went to look at her today. Not what I was expecting...head has been repainted, cab front paint chipping fairly dramatically, two cracks in the PF and some decent PF wear. BG shows a decent amount of flaking at bottom. Think I'm going to offer $150.

the universal key...

That playfield wear and backglass flaking looks pretty minor (at least in the pics).

Bummer on the repainted cab though; that's a big downer.

Broken rollover lane guide too.

Yes, numerous little things like that. Upper right plastic also cracked. Repainted head was what really got me down.

That's a bit unusual place(s) for wear on that game. Usually its the center inserts taht are quite sunken, and the landing spot from the center kick out hole. I wonder if there is/was a screw underneath that was too long creating a raised spot that got worn down by the ball...... Still, a fun game, and yea, I don't think that flaking is the worst I've seen. Often his hair and sweater/skin get flaky (dandruff issues, needs 'Head and Shoulders')

was my thought too. there is also wear on the landing spot.

course i have to go look on ebay and there's a NOS PF that's been up there for awhile...hmmmmmm

Well there is always this option if you decide to buy it which would make it look like new at least for the Playfield:

That would be one sexy game all restored out with an NOS playfield from Italy along with a proper repaint and PBR parts.

Just missed one on CL-Appleton, WI by a day...

Turns out that it had been listed for a few days, but work kept me from doing a search outside of my area. Asking was $550, don't know what it sold for. Pics weren't very good, so no idea on condition.

Was probably this one?

2 or 3 seem to pop up each year around here.

Those two "spots" on the pro pool playfield are more than likely from someone putting in too long of a screw when remounting the Drop Target bank. They usually show up by the flippers but interestingly enough, both DT banks were almost hanging on the Hot Shot at Banning Arcade Expo. So, I could see someone upgrading the screw due to stripped holes.

Did not accept my offer. It's not worth more than about $150 to me given the work I'd want to do to it, so if anyone is interested I would be more than happy to put you in touch. I don't have a sense of exactly how much they want, but I would guess around $300 would get it out the door.

Just bought a Pro Pool that I will fully restore after I finish my Sweet Hearts and Bowling Queen. I agree, it will be one sexy looking game when done!
