I'm wondering if someone can help me out with pricing. I have the opportunity to look at a Gorgar this weekend and don't know where to start with pricing. I got some pictures and it appears as though there has been some touch up / repainting on the play field, but I'm not sure. It's currently in two pieces and the owner indicated that she thought there was an issue with the power supply. My assumption is that it will at least need board work or new boards (provided replacements are available).

I see that the market place shows them in the $600 - $1500 range for needs work through 100% working and in good shape.

What's a fair offer in its current condition? I don't want to rip anyone off, but I don't want to get into something that's going to cost me a shit load of money either. I'm not even sure if I should try and put it back together before I buy it or just check the boards for hacks / battery damage and move on.

Quoted from CrazyLevi:

That's looks like pretty poor touch up (will probably look worse in person), the game doesn't work, and it's not like Gorgar is hard to find.
I personally wouldn't pay more than $500 for it, if I were looking for a Gorgar, which I'm not. I'd probably offer $300 if I got that call today but I don't have space and already have a sweet Gorgar. CHances are the owner would come back to me with the "I saw it for $2,000 on ebay" and I'd call it a day at that point.
Anyhow, good luck! You certainly don't have to be rude or curt but it's not hard to explain why this game would be on the low end of the pricing spectrum.

I was thinking $300 as well. I'm not in the market for one, but figured if I could grab it cheap, it might be fun to see if I can get it working again. Maybe fix it, sell it and make a few bucks. It's pretty close to my house too. I think it will really depend on how bad the touch up job is....

Thanks for everyone's help.
