Looking for my first pinball machine. My wife likes Fire! by Williams. I found one at a local shop for $1200. It looks very clean with all new rubber, etc. Is this a decent price? I know I probably could find one cheaper but I think this one is in very good condition.

I hope this helps .. it's based on Ebay sales:

Average of Price: $1085
Minimum Price: $299
Maximum Price: $3500
Number of Sales: 70
Average price with single lowest/highest min/max discarded: $1062

Always make the wife happy !! I hope you can light her Fire!

They have built some room in for profit, you can work them down. If not, pass.

My opinion anyways.

Odd thing about that pin is that it has no pop bumpers

You can probably talk them a few bucks down pbj. Fire is a interesting pin. Definately looks unique with the burning buildings being displayed so promimantly. 80's fan pinheads love that one at the pinball shows.

As for pop bumpers, autumnfade, some games work better without pops. It's probably just wierd for that era to not have them, but not necessary IMO. It's always nice to see pinball/game designers try new things. Some of my fav pins from the 90's, don't include pops.

No pops in judge dredd either. I love pops but they are not a requirement. I however could not imagine twilight zone without those lower playfield pop bumpers.

I just need to get my judge dredd up and running now so I can comment on that pin further. Been so busy it has been languishing in my storage unit, stuffed behind a kings of steel and a woodrail or two.

Judge Dredd is an excellent game maldoror, and a good example of a non-existant pop bumper design that works.

Other one that comes to mind is The Shadow. Oh god, I love that game! I finally just got a Shadow for my collection, and need to do some work on it. Dirty as sin playfield! Need to get the sucker shiny enough to honor the mighty-fine Penelope Ann Miller (Margo Lane).

One pin down, one to go. Now, the hunt begins for a Johnny Mnemonic!
