I honestly can’t tell what things are worth in the market right now. What would you expect this Dolly Parton to sell for? Midwest, fully working, alltek mpu board.

That’s the tricky bit, it’s nothing like it was a few years ago. I regularly see this era Bally listed at $2000+, but who knows what they are actually selling for.

I have owned several of these and never paid over $800. Fun game but really just a dust collector in a game room. I sold a working one with a NOS playfield for $1500 right before covid.

Sold mine for $3k a couple years ago, but it was super nice and had all new boards and such. There is a huge demand for Dolly, check ebay sold listing recently, looking for posts... this is one of those situations where the popularity of the gameplay has zero influence on the value to Dolly fans/collectors.

Exactly why Bally Kiss is so expensive relative to game play. Collectible game but not a great player sadly.

I'm guessing you haven't played a KISS with a new/clearcoated playfield? it plays fast and mean, and makes it a challenging game.

I can't wait to see how fast Dolly will play with the new pf.

But that's true for just about every single game under the sun... (Nitro Ground Shaker?) But KISS is a truly awful game, just like BOP and TOTAN. Although, now that I think about it, KISS with a clear-coated playfield is probably more fun to play than Fish Tales.

But back on topic, consider the small spots of PF wear, I still don't think you would have any problem at all getting 1500 for this Dolly. It's actually a very fun game.

Wow, I couldn't agree more. ha. The sounds on KISS can be a little grating after a bit. But it really is a fun challenge when it play fast.

Regarding this Dolly, I'd say about 1800 is a sweet spot for this. Decent bg, decent pf.

Yes, these old Bally's vary widely, mostly do to uneven/niche demand and theme collectability. Play and condition are secondary.

I had several people asking for Dolly and I was able to procure a very nice one a couple of months ago in the low 4's. My customer would have easily paid 2500+ for this one. He is a Country Music fan, not a pinballer so the backglass was way more important than a couple of wear spots.

Nice KISS machines are hard to find in general. It was the most requested machine for my arcade before I finally found one with a new playfield. It plays great, but not one of my favorite Bally's. Customers play the crap out of it though.

Now if I could just find an Evil Kenevil...

I have, and it's still not great IMO. Great artwork of course, but it's a weak player. If you want to look at the overpriced Bally rock theme pins, a dialed in Rolling Stones is better IMO. But it's all subjective.

I live in Arkansas and sold one in not quite as nice shape as this one for 1900 maybe a year ago. As stated by others there is a demand for this machine from others besides Pinheads. It is a relatively fun game but it didn't go with the theme of the man cave so it had to go.
