Can someone tell me what year or game Stern changed the cabinet (not the head) dimensions from that of Nugent? I need a replacement cabinet for my Nugent (termites), and I thought a Lightning cabinet from '81 would work, but it's taller towards the back than the Nugent was. Thanks.

Quoted from cottonm4:

I never thought about the Lightning cabinet being taller in the back. I just measured 4 of my Sterns and all measure 3" taller in the back than in the front.

Yep my Meteor is 2 inches shorter in the back than the lightning. I can make it work, but cosmetically, it looks off where the stencil doesn't stay uniform towards the back. I didn't realize that when I was painting it.

What playfield incline do people set their playfields to on early SS's? Mine is sitting at 5.5 degrees right now, with the back leg levelers all the way out.
