OP....Stern Meteor is a great game and is more available than the 3 (great also) titles you've listed. That may be worth hunting. They made a lot of them which keeps the price lower.

Quoted from CrazyLevi:I love how these threads always turn into show and tell
How come nobody ever chimes in with "I got a stargazer, and it's a real piece of shit?"
These classic sterns rise above the Ballys because they generally have more interesting rules and playfield layouts I'd say. And much better drop target mechs.
Probably because if someone feels a game is a piece of shit, they sell it.
Quoted from Whysnow:how many games does Stern realistically need to sell in order for it to be worth it?
Looking back at recent past titles I estimate that if they can sell 500 in total then the game average, 1000 in total and it is above average, 2000 and it is great!
If Stern made a modern Stargazer PRO model for 5300 they could sell 500 of them. Make a LE (updated art) to go along with it and I bet you sell another 500
No way could Stern sell 500 Quicksilvers or Stargazers at over 5 grand a pop. No way.
As good as Stern Electonics was from Meteor until about Nine Ball....they really fell off fast imo. The dual-level games never came out very good and most, if not all, of their multi-ball games had lackluster rules associated with multiball. Their best games, imo, were the -200 games with single-level and single ball play.
This shooter lane ramp isn't anything new...many of the newer Sterns use these. The length changes perhaps along with the angle but it serves this same purpose. Maybe one of those, say from Aerosmith or BM66 would work on your Seawitch.
Quoted from brenna98:What's your favorite?
I really like the 6 I have but I'd say Quicksilver is played the most. Previously owned Big Game (I'd like another), Galaxy, Stingray, and Iron Maiden. Still looking for a nice Cheetah, Catacomb, and Dragonfist.
Quoted from TheLaw:So blue. But we're all in this club together and we need to have a talk...
It's the picture....no colored GI or anything like that
Does anyone know where I can get the "tournament" ROM for Cheetah that allows 1 collect bonus per ball up the left side?
Quoted from chuckwurt:Anyone have a Nine ball with a nice playfield that can post some glass off up close pics of the playfield above the flippers to 3/4 up the playfield?
Scans would be even better. jjsmooth is restoring one and needs help.
Thanks!
Quoted from HoakyPoaky:So I’m in the middle of my Quicksilver scratch build & im having some general classic stern questions as I go. I figured this is the best place to ask.
For those that have restored the coin doors, which spray paint is frequently used to match the grey color & hammer tone finish of the original game? I assume some Rustoleum product.
I just want my legs & door to look as close to original as possible. I’ve never used the hammer tone paints before. I assume you have to prime first?
Thanks!
I’ve had good luck with Alltek boards except for their MPU on M-200 games. For instance, in Freefall, it affected the sound and the lights strobed a bit with the sound. I think the clock speed is different like others have mentioned.
Quoted from vec-tor:The color is in the rubine red category.
I got a pretty good match for Freefall. Sherwin Williams Botticelli Red.
IMG_4719 (resized).jpgQuoted from greatwichjohn:Looking for my 3rd classic Stern playfield to make in 2021. More Star Gazers coming along with production Seawitch. I retired from my 6 day a week City job, & now working on pinball everyday. So if someone has art ready to go let me know.
