I really like my Iron maiden, rules are fun, but it’s a drain monster... not for everyone...

#120 5 years ago

That's funny... I assume most people didn't pass enought time on Iron maiden and Viper to really appraciate it.

I have both in my home and you have to understand the rules and the game need to be tune all right to enjoy it. I don't think many poeple past enought time on iron maiden to appraciate...

I will post it here also... already post it on the Nineball discussion...

I have a probleme with my start button... If all the drop on the right bank drop target are down, when I press the start button... the game reboot. If a one, two or all drop traget are up... I can start the game and everything work like it should...

Already change the diode on the start switch, all drop target, tilt and slam switch. I also change the switch itself. I check closely for any short on the coin door.

If I goes in test switch mode, the # associated with the start button is Ok, idem if I check it with all the drop down...

Finally, if i touch the tilt switch or slam switch, the game reboot.

Any idea

#1065 5 years ago

as soon as one of the drop are up... it work

#1067 5 years ago
Quoted from dothedoo:

I would double-check the diode on the top drop target for a short. Disconnect the diode on the bottom drop and see if your problems go away. If not, the problem is probably somewhere in the coin door.

I will double check, but i change all the diode yesterday and nothing change

Question for the expert? Do you know if all the cab are the same...

I want to put a Catacomb in a dracula cab? Do i have to expect any problem?

new project?

Pas vraiment... un cab redone! I miss you buddy!

Quoted from grandy:

Picked up a Dracula recently and got it up and running - fun game i can't wait to shop out and get humming. I asked my son (7) what he thought of it after his first several plays and he said "yeah it's pretty fun i think i like the shots but what's 'dracula' about it?"
I think it's because it sounds like a space battle theme.
Setting complete historical purity aside for a moment - has anyone ever modded a stern of this era to play alternate sounds? I'm thinking about how cool it could be to replace the sounds with something more melodic, minor, and "Dracula" sounding. Using same lengths and triggers and true-to-era electronic sounds.
Anybody ever do this kind of thing?

I did it with a Bally projet couple years ago

Quoted from LOTR_breath:

One trick I learned years ago when touching up a cabinet. As you know, a lot of paints look slightly different when wet vs. dry. I would mix up variations of a color and paint quarter size circles on a transparency and let them dry completely. Then hold that over the color I was trying to match and see which one was the closest.

You have to put clearcoat over it to be sure the color match

Quoted from sethbenjamin:

Ok, next question…
EVERY insert on these machines has both moved and sunken. I’m no stranger to replacing inserts, and I’m not a fan of eye-dropper if clear coat to level them out. It’s just not a good option when you have a lot of this going on.
On the other hand, while I can find faceted inserts all over Pinball Life, nobody seems to have non-faceted inserts in all the sizes/colors needed for a Lightning. Does anyone know of a source for the stock style inserts?
I’m not a purist, so I would go with faceted if it came to that. Would sooner swap all the inserts to the same style than end up with a mix, honestly.
[quoted image]

I know some person are not agree with that, but i alway sand my original insert! look at this!
i really dont think a remove enought material with sanding to weaken the insert
