Quoted from SuperPinball:

Gee 6K for a Nine ball? I though they went for less than half that. Better to grab a new stern pro at that price.

Shoot! My ass was puckering when I paid $1700 USD for my nice one at TPF a couple of years back.

The prices on these things have gone nuts ...

It really is. Never in 20 years would I have thought Stern Electronics games would become a rich man's delight.

I think Nine Ball deserves to be in the same class as the Quicksilvers & Star Gazers, though. It's a unique game that's hard to find in good shape. I looked for a decade and eventually just took the plunge on shipping one that hailrazer was selling in Georgia for $1900. No regrets!

There was a pinsider who made some Seawitch blue wave decals. I bought one and it is excellent. But I do not remember the guy's name and don't know if he is still around. And I cannot find the PMs we traded. Sorry.

You might try starting a fresh post for this. You might scare something up.

I have a pretty clean scan, if you want to roll your own. Send me a PM.

Is he selling for the (that symbol) 18,000 or is asking the 18K price?

#2708 1 year ago

Seawitch decals are available from pinsider topwif

He did a great job, mine look good as new after years of use. Highly recommend!

Just got my decal from him, looks great!

#2710 1 year ago

I'm the one that has the Seawitch spinner decals and I just saw this ball gate post, this was my solution. Works flawlessly.

What kind of return spring do you have on that gate? Looks interesting.

#2713 1 year ago

Not sure what spring I used on thàt gate. I think it was something I picked up at Lowe's or it came off a drop target assembly or a flipper assembly.

Anyway you could post a better picture of it? It looks interesting.

Hey Dragonfist fans. I found something interesting today. I was studying the original Dragonfist flyer (yeah, I'm a total pinball geek) and discovered something interesting. In the flyer version of the game, the spinner awarded 1,000 points per lit multiplier, not just 200 like in the production version of the game.

You'll see below a zoomed in version of the flyer playfield and right above the left flipper it says "SPINNER SCORES 1000". The production version says 200.

I think this would have made for an even more exciting game if they left it like this flyer version. I'd be inclined to have the code changed but then it wouldn't match my production playfield.

Quite the observation. Would have needed 8 digit displays with a spinner value like that!

Foil P.A.A. Tournament Decals have been redrawn! Thanks to cottonm4 and getadam for the great references.

Will get these out to print over the next week or so and will check back in when I get samples. Should be fairly cheap if this printer works out.

Please, no PM's until I have the real thing in hand, I'll have plenty to cover whoever wants one

Speaking of PM’s, since I have your attention... I’m still looking for a Nine Ball wink wink nudge nudge.

LOL! I place too many orders after a few drinks. Glad I'm not the only one.

#2725 1 year ago

Technically the stickers would only come on Steve Kirk's games since that was his thing. Is the phone # still Stern's?

Sweet I’ll wait until you do it and bum some from you. I’ll send you a bottle of booze before PATZ.

Yes, I have about 30 total games but my Classic Sterns get the most play - by far.

Yea, Mine too. I currently have 11 Classic Stern's in my collection and love every single one of them. (counting my 2 Gamatron's)

Just placed an order for some prototypes today. Went for pure reflective silver foil as well as holographic foil. Not sure which would work better so had to try both. Should have samples back in a few weeks!

That scan turned out nice. Sharp and crisp lettering.

Scan? I wish LOL. I redrew the entire thing in illustrator. The foil made it impossible to scan unfortunately as you mentioned when you sent me the ref... thought I could do some color tweaks but just didn’t work.

But if you think it’s a scan that means I did a decent job so cheers!

I’m trying to figure out if possible the Data East Secret Service transformer 010-5002-00 could possibly be subbed into a Quicksilver for a 16b-6

I was looking a little bit but having a difficult time locating the volts and amps for each circuit.

#2735 1 year ago

OK last update on apron tournament stickers until I have them in hand in a couple weeks.

Just got a digital proof for silver and holo. Holographic is probably a bust but had to try as an alt.

Once I have them I’ll post real world pictures and open the floodgates for interest / orders.

Were they holographic? I thought they were just metallic silver?

Find out what coils Secret Service uses for pop bumpers and such. If 26-1200, then yes. If 23-800 or 850, then no.

Quoted from Coyote:

I am not sure. Check these pictures out. All references provided to me look like plain metallic silver, but the type itself shifts from yellow to a bright yellow green which I am not sure will happen on the silver. I have a local friend that has one on his aprons... I want a dead match so will compare both and see which works best!

#2739 1 year ago

Seems to be just the shadow causing the green. We shall see.

#2740 1 year ago

Did holographic printing even exist in 1979? Seems to me it would just be silver.

#2741 1 year ago

Good points and now my bet is on silver. But with a 3 week turnaround wanted to cover both angles!

this - it does not appear to be holographic

I own a printing company. Send me specs and artwork and I will quote. Appears to just be a silver BOPP material with 2 color print. Do you have a spec sheet?

3 week turn seems long for something like this

#2744 1 year ago

The one on my Nine Ball is silver. Yellow text is also reflective.

It is just plain metallic silver. Those are my fingers you see in the reflection.

I don't know how Hollywood does it but trying to get good light on the reflective was impossible. And it was worse on my see-thru scanner; The scans were useless as that burner lamp passed across the mirroring.
