I am thinking about buying a pin and having it picked up for me. I have a concern, however, with the BG. It is starting to flake/bubble up and separate from the glass in places. Currently all the paint is still there, just separating from the glass. The owner was going to use clear tape to solve the problem - I would like to use triple thick. Since he has not used triple thick and plastic wrap he is reluctant to do so. He suggested laying a piece of clear translite over the back of the bg, then cardboard, and then bubble wrap. This gives me pause as I am afraid the separated paint might completely come off by the time I receive the pin. Any suggestions from folks?

Thanks

It's tough to ship a backglass that's starting to come apart. Do you have photos?

I would not do packing tape.

Triple thick won't solve delamination. You'll need to use super glue to adhere the paint back onto the glass.

Crushing the paint flat invites issues of possible damage to the delaminating paint. But that depends on what the state of it is. In some cases, it might work.

I might suggest shipping the backglass face down in a heavy duty box, and try to ensure some way that it doesn't get transported sideways or upside down.
