Quoted from zaphX:So we're around 6 months in and I still love Star Wars. I find myself considering the premium before they halt manufacturing.
I found a premium on location to try out yesterday and found some disappointing things:
1. The Death Star shot was nearly impossible, rolling back down the ramp every time. This may be due to incorrect leveling; the bubble level was all the way at the top.
2. The right flipper button had a weird loose feel, hard to describe.
3. The rectangular "planet" inserts were all quite dim. (On my Pro everything is still nice and bright.)
My feeling is that the dissatisfaction I felt on this machine was due to poor upkeep and configuration.
Can any Premium owners chime in on these issues?
#1 is a common issue that has been reported here several times and even mentioned by Steve Ritchie in Stern's FB LIVE video last week. The hyperloop wireform is too low and the ball bangs into it going up the ramp, rejecting the shot. The hyperloop needs to be adjusted up a bit, done easily by loosening one nut under the Death Star on the left side of the hyperloop and moving the hyperloop up a bit.
