Gottlieb, 1987Hey guys, I need a little help with an Arena pin - system 80b. When you start up a game on this, the ball kickout solenoid just keeps firing over and over, like a machine gun.
I checked the connections on the harness, board, and under the playfield, still happening. Any idea where I should start looking on this? Thanks for any help.

I wonder if maybe your game is resetting repeatedly and you're getting the "power on thunk"? http://www.pinwiki.com/wiki/index.php?title=Gottlieb_System_80#Power_on_.22Thunk.22

I had a similar problem and it was a short in Z11 the 7404 chip

I don't think it is the 'power on thunk', it powers on just fine, the solenoid starts firing once a game is started (when it kicks out a ball).
