Quoted from rai:WoZ (sorry no offense) is a 100 times (not make that 1000 times) the movie of Predator.
Predator is cool it's got Arnold and Apollo Creed and Jessy the Body (etc..) but really it's not much of a movie more than has been does 1,000 times before and since.
IOW is not a 'time capsule' movie.
BUT WoZ (arguably) is one of the best (really hard to argue) one of the best movies. Probably top 10 (top 5) of all time.
WoZ has great characters, music, special effects, great story, is great for all ages. Really WoZ is a great adventure/fantasy movie on par with Star Wars, LOTR and Harry Potter.
PS, I said "no offense" at the start.
For kids and maybe menthal people. WOZ... come on hey...
I like the looks of the machine, and hope everything will work out great. But i am flabbergasted anybody would say WOZ is a fantastic theme.
This busness almost all partys who pay for piball machines are not the ones still playing with dolls. Most of them are 35+ or older.
I still cant understand why this theme is chosen.
Can you imagine this kinda machine with a theme like predator? I can, would be thousands times better then WOZ.
But its just a mather of taste. In Japan they like cartoony lollypop girls and some on this forum think WOZ is a top 5 ever movie.
I am not one of them. I dont watch kids movies anymore.
Cant wait for JJ #2.

I'm patient, just sharing my experience so others know it is not just them.
Quoted from spfxted:Wizard of Oz only a KIDS movie?? Are you daft???
No, but its only an opinion.
But honoustly, does anybody above 18 enjoy this movie?
Quoted from Plungemaster:But honoustly, does anybody above 18 enjoy this movie?
Yes
I watch all kinds of movies probably over 50 a year and woz is one of the best ever made
Quoted from Plungemaster:No, but its only an opinion.
Good for you, should have stopped there...
Quoted from Plungemaster:But honoustly, does anybody above 18 enjoy this movie?
Yes, as per your original enlightening post, apparently only menthal people (perhaps those with learning disabilities who prefer to remain minty fresh) and not the other partys. I love this kind of guy, "It's just my opinion, but you're an f'in retard for not sharing it. Hur hur hur."
And for the record, I pretty much loathe the movie Wizard of Oz.
Quoted from navajas:apparently only menthal people (perhaps those with learning disabilities who prefer to remain minty fresh) and not the the other partys.
Navajas:
I stared at the "menthal" knowing that there was something there but couldn't grasp it. You nailed it!
However, you then go on to misspell "parties" or "party's."
Dude!
Dan
Quoted from playboywillis:Look, I'm sorry I brought it up. Back to Predator.....??
I'm 37 years old... was a young teenager when it came out, and thought it was the greatest movie ever. It was unusual at the time to see the hero have his ass kicked and barely make it out alive. Watched it recently and it holds up damn well. Looking forward to this pin and hearing that soundtrack pump out.
Still waiting for a response from skit-b, it's all good as long as I end up with one.

I was quoting both menthal and partys from his original entry into the Predator thread. Sorry to disappoint, er, or, sorry to un-disappoint?
Quoted from spfxted:Top Movies:
Citizen Kane
Gone With the Wind
Wizard of Oz
King Kong
In plungemaster's culture, Citizen Kane is seen as a movie only fetal house cats could possibly enjoy.

I notice you cant handle different opinions, so let it rest.
You are right, WOZ is an adults theme.
Have a nice day.

While there are many arguments I could make in regards to your list, I will just settle with saying, King Kong has no place even in the top 10. AFI puts it in the top 40s I believe and I think even that is generous.

This group here must be much older than I thought.....
For me, as a director, Kane is the American Masterpiece.
Godfather would be in the top 10 fer sure.
...this is my list.
Also on there would be:
The Sound of Music
Rear Window
Psycho
The Magnificent 7
The Great Escape
My Fair Lady
The Day the Earth Stood Still (1951)
...if a bunch of you youngins haven't seen them....get to da choppa!!!
No top movie list is complete without the inclusion of Highlander. Highlander would make a great pin theme to. You could have a power ball painted to look like a head.
Quoted from navajas:I was quoting both menthal and partys from his original entry into the Predator thread. Sorry to disappoint, er, or, sorry to un-disappoint?
Missed that.
Sorry to have dissed what wasn't disappointing.

looking forward to at least watching HD videos of other people playing this when it's done.. haha
Quoted from spfxted:Of course MY favorite movie of all time is...It's A Wonderful life.
But don't forget:
Singin' In the Rain
Spartacus
Ben-Hur
Yankee Doodle Dandy
Blade Runner
Silence of the Lambs (make a great pin!)
Midnight Cowboy
The Thing
2001
Since we are moving into more modern movies:
Unbreakable
The Usual Suspects
A History of Violence
Field of Dreams (not a big Costner fan, every man in the theater was in tears including me on two occassions)
Waking Ned Devine (other than my son, I am the only one who likes this movie; I have lent it to several friends and the give it back to me threatening to dissolve the friendship.)
Winter's Bone
Hunter Prey
O' Brother Where Art Thou?
Fargo
I love movies...

You're forgetting Lawrence of Arabia.
Peter O'Toole was robbed that year by Gregory Peck in To Kill a Mockingbird.
I cant even put my favorite movies into a list. Do you judge on a "well made movie" or a movie that you can watch every time it comes on. Also favorites change like the seasons. But Predator is always the movie I can watch whenever its on. It is truly my favorite movie.
I have about 10 movies tied at #1. I do think older movies get an unfair "good because they're old" boost (Rear Window, Gone with the Wind, and such are terribly over rated, and I'd WAY rather watch Sierra Madre or African Queen than Casablanca), but 12 Angry Men (the Fonda one, not the remake of course) is defiantly one of my ten.
One not mentioned so far is Big Lebowski, which coincidentally (?), would make an utterly magical pinball machine.
Also, don't forget Orgazmo.

More like YOU'RE older than I thought.
Predator vs Batman
Batman vs Sherlock Holmes
Sherlock Holmes vs Predator
Keep in mind this is the Sherlock Holmes as depicted in the movies, not the tawdry Englishman SH.
If you give it real thought it's not as close as you'd think.
I think Batman beats Predator, SH beats Batman, Predator beats SH. It's like rock, paper, scissors.
Quoted from basscadet:batman vs Predator easter omelet
I have lots of faith in Bruce, but I'm pretty certain trying to get get a Predator in a RNC is the best way to go.

Yeah but, Batman is sort of like Sherlock Homes after Crossfit. You know?
My favorite cross over (other than Aliens of course) was Tarzan vs. Predator. Made sense, hot steamy jungle, Tarzan would make a hell of a trophy, etc... Except, hmm, just realized that Greystoke and Wayne are kind of the same guy. Anyway, in that comic was a hell of a frame with the Predator dead at Tarzan's feet having had his head freshly beaten to a pulp with a large rock silverback style.
Quoted from BLACK_ROSE:250 Predators are gonna be made ,, Are they All sold ? I may want 1 also ..
Why? You'd only keep it for 4 days
Quoted from blondetall:Someone change the symbols on this. (Ted? That's your thing.)
lol...don't get me started....

Email them & hope. Tell them you don't care what number the machine is. Expect to wait several weeks for a reply though... if you aren't too late. The reply I got stated there were still slots left but they weren't specific.

A bunch of people will drop out at the first sign of putting up any money . . . my prediction is it will be over half. That is the problem with putting nothing up front; I think they should have charged at least $100 up front to make sure they had people willing to pay something; of course, that discussion was had many many posts ago and I conceded on the point then so I do not know why I am bringing it up again.
