Some Williams woodrails have a reduced diameter portion at the very end of the shooter rod. Naturally, the hole in the rubber tip must be smaller as well. Where do you get this type of shooter tip? Well, nowhere!
So, on a few of these, I made a wooden bushing out of a dowel, which allows the use of a standard rubber tip for the shooter. It's nice to have a lathe in the workshop.
My guess for the shooter assembly on the right would be Genco. I have a similar one, but without the push up rod.
