Quoted from tamoore:

Stern sends pinball machines all over the world, with the appropriate coin mechs installed. It can be done, and can't be that hard to orchestrate.
That means there has to be a reason other than "it's too hard"...
Making a pinball machine is hard. Accepting a coin? Not too much.

And really all they have to do is just ship them seperately. That would not require any expensive line retooling and it would not affect production.

Man Pinside is a fucking mess on Fridays...the way the lord intended!

Then don't open the thread.

is there a Hitler coin mechs video yet?

Yes! I made it about an hour ago. It's still processing. I'll post it when it's ready.

Quoted from tracelifter:

It may be "only 20 bucks" (don't forget the shipping and tax) as some say but on 1,000 games that is 20K extra in Rick's pocket.
Hey it's only 20K.
Reminds me of the guys that sell you a game then sell the manual to you on Ebay.
Oh that's "extra".

Yeah I remember Clay saying the manuals came "extra" on Stern LEs. The freaking MANUALS.

Shipping them seperately is kind of what I've suggested twice now. No fuss solution, as soon as they have the buyer's address just ship it off. Boom, game AND mechs are at your doorstep. Absolutely no hiccups, hassles, or delays in production. The fact that he is saying "Nope what's done is done" and refusing to ship 30 pairs of mechs is just ludicrous to me. And didn't he say we would have 100 machines by now? Where are they?

Quoted from Borygard:

I'd recommend adding a remote skylight that opens on your ceiling that the balloon can go through. That way the neighbors know when you're playing. Connect the skylight to the Witch mech, and have it open and close when the Witch goes up and down.
I have a sawzall you can borrow.

I think Bumper Action should be the primary seller of Thunderbirds.

I'm convinced it's photoshopped. One it's from Pinball News, not Stern's site (I did a filtered by site image search). Two, the tone of gray on that door does not match the rest of the powder coat on the machine and looks too homogenous vs the textured black around it. Three, if you look very carefully below the lock the gray color spreads out too far to the right versus the gray above the lock. So yeah, photoshopped. I'm disappointed in PBN to be honest.
