I got a power supply for mods on my machine and placed in the bottom of the cabinet.
I plug it into a power strip along with the machine on the same power strip.
I got a power strip with surge protection, just because I could.
They are not really expensive and they are pretty common.
Here is one example, I am not sure about details on the seller.
What I have normally seen is that delivery is about a month from China for products like this.
ebay.com link: DC 12V 20A LED Driver 12 Volt 20 Amp Transformer 240 Watt 12Vdc Power Supply
Quoted from Enchantress:So how exactly do you wire your mods into the power supply? Are there designated -/+ screw terminals, then wire inline consecutively?
Typically, they have 3 terminals for the AC supply (L, N and G) and a switch on the device to select the input voltage at 240 or 120.
6 additional terminal have the DC outputs, with 3 positive DC terminals and 3 negative DC terminals.
The DC output voltage is selected when you order the device, as they come in various shapes and sizes.
You can also decide how much load you want the device to be capable of and they are usually available in 10 Amp, 20 Amp or 30 Amp models.
