    Quoted from Robertstone0407:

Deadpool premium going out the door, gonna be accented with a nice red bolt assortment

Whoever ordered these - please post a pic of them installed. Seems all Deadpool powder coating is done in red. Looks great on the Pro, but to my eye the premium is calling for a dark blue. Would like to see what this looks like.

    Quoted from Red_Devils:

I will definitely post some pics once it's installed, I'm really looking forward to getting it.

Much appreciated, and thanks for not going with red.

    Quoted from Red_Devils:

Here's the pictures of the Deadpool Robert did. It looks absolutely stunning in person the color really matches the premium well. It looks so good I'm having Robert do the speaker panel also He did a superb job of this and we talked about this in detail, I really didn't think the red really matched the art on the premium of all the other machines I've seen done. So I decided to do something different. I think it looks stunning. Well done Robert you are the master of Powdercoat

Thanks - just what I wanted to see. Looks great.

Now to just play the stupid waiting game for a DP premium to appear close enough to buy....

I may have froze myself up into indecision with too many paint samples. Thumbs up to Prismatic though. Every time I clicked "add swatch to cart" I expected a pop up saying "Sir, don't you think that's enough?"

    Quoted from FalconDriver:

You have a Southwest Blue in that pile?

Had to check, but no. Think I stuck to high gloss blue metallics.

Can’t get enough, Robert. Loving your work, best in the business. The Deadpool is amazing. Just need to get around to that Avengers now...

That Maiden in green looks really great. Nice choice.

Installed Roberts Infinite Sparkle finish on SW today. It looks incredible! It was really hard to photograph. Check out Post #2839 if you want to see better closeups.

This looks crazy awesome in general, but on this side of the cab in particular.

    That’s a new one lol

When you see the light at the end of the tunnel, but it's just a (derailed) oncoming train.

    #2888 2 years ago

Well, the train issue was resolved. Out of town yesterday, but getting around the installation today. Got a question for Robert or anyone else that may be able to answer.

Transferring over the coin door parts, and there's a slight difference between the door I got in Robert's handy exchange program and the door I took off / will be sending back.

There's what I assume is a ground wire next to the volume/service menu control that was attached to the original door with a nut over a little bare threaded bit that sticks out.
    IMG_8888 (resized).JPGIMG_8888 (resized).JPG

The door I received doesn't have that threaded bit.
    IMG_8890 (resized).JPGIMG_8890 (resized).JPG

No big deal to me, but of course I want to attach that ground wire. I assume I can just use some screw or bolt to connect it, but I'm wondering about the powder coat preventing a proper ground. Should I scrape off a bit of the powder coating near the hole to ensure a proper connection, or would the act of screwing in a bolt fr some sort force a good enough connection as it (I assume) scrapes off the powder coat on the inside of the hole as it turns in?

    Quoted from Robertstone0407:

I’m guessing on new stern builds they changed it. Just thread a bolt in it and the screw will cut the threads, it also may look like there’s powder but it’s just the process. It’ll provide a path to ground

Thanks for the input - I assumed just connecting as is it would be sufficient but wanted a the vote of confidence.

Side note - swapping everything out takes WAY longer than my dumb amateur butt assumed. About half done and ready to call it a night. Will try to finish up after work over the next couple days and get some pics posted and parts back off in the mail.

Thanks for everything Robert - totally happy with the results so far.

Another satisfied customer checking in. Would have posted sooner, but didn't want to take pictures until I got the DBA plate back from Pinnovators. (Who graciously swapped the kit over to the powder coated plate free of charge. Great people.)

Anyway - a Deadpool premium. Didn't want to go red due to the cab art and found the pics of ones done in various blues to be a bit overpowering for my tastes. Damn near everything looks good in black, so here we are. Though Robert would have to confirm - I think the base might be a really really dark blue? I have no idea. Looks black in most lights, with the blue flake really coming out when you get closer, and it's really really nice and sparkly when in bright light. Couldn't be happier.
