Actually it makes perfect sense. When a finish isn’t smooth, it looks like an “orange peel”.

My PZ project in progress with Cold Stone Coated black armor.
I bet the designer and artist (both I met a Expo last month) would have gone with black armor on this if they could have.
(both signed PZ brochure on the wall)
Coin door and hinges are now getting the Cold Stone treatment as well.
Just to be thorough I am getting the backbox latch powder coated too.
The powder coating really makes this machine !
Thanks to Rob for this service, I am lucky to be close and can drop off and pick up my powder coated parts. (no shipping

Any suggestions for an X-men pro? I'm considering this but I've got an artistic block. If I do this I don't want to go with the same old color that everyone puts on them (plain blue or red).

Hmm thats a tough one cause the pro has so many colors, metallic black would look great or do black with blue and gold flake. It'd be similar to the greenflake i posted above but blue and gold, or red and blue, orblue and purple. All those pairs would look great

Ok, so my basement is horribly lit for pics. These are pics of the armor a few post up (421 & 422). It looks really badass in person. From one direction it looks blue, then when you move your head a little it looks purple. I'm very happy with it. Tron is next.
