Installed Roberts Infinite Sparkle finish on SW today. It looks incredible! It was really hard to photograph. Check out Post #2839 if you want to see better closeups.

Total shocker guys. Robert knocked it out of the park again. Just upgraded my Elvira premium to the SLE powder. Batman is next! Thanks Robert!

Awesome work. What’s the best way to get in touch with you? I sent a PM a few weeks ago but never got a reply.

Hey Robert, start perfecting this color and you will probably get a lot of Halloween business. If you can do this color, I will probably replace my factory Spooky CE Halloween powdercoat with this once it arrives.

Roostking found this and posted it in another thread. Would love to see some samples of your final version!!

Lol yep I have a Halloween on order as well and plan to give it the treatment! I’ll let you know when I get mine. I can do that or something equally as nice no problem

    #2858 2 years ago

@Calfdemon... that would also be a great match for CFTBL in a green tone.

Well.... another impeccable job by Rob. This time on TMNT Premium. Really takes it to another level. Very happy w/ the results. Could I find a local powdercoat shop to do this stuff for my games? Probably. But it'll never happen cuz Rob is my go to guy. He has the eye, the service and most of all the passion needed to do great work every single time. Thx Rob!

Those are custom cut siderails. I cut white vinyl that I applied to the cabinet to go underneath.

That's an extraordinary colour... can you ( Robertstone0407 ) explain the process a little for us layman's?

When you see the light at the end of the tunnel, but it's just a (derailed) oncoming train.

Well, the train issue was resolved. Out of town yesterday, but getting around the installation today. Got a question for Robert or anyone else that may be able to answer.

Transferring over the coin door parts, and there's a slight difference between the door I got in Robert's handy exchange program and the door I took off / will be sending back.

There's what I assume is a ground wire next to the volume/service menu control that was attached to the original door with a nut over a little bare threaded bit that sticks out.
    IMG_8888 (resized).JPGIMG_8888 (resized).JPG

The door I received doesn't have that threaded bit.
    IMG_8890 (resized).JPGIMG_8890 (resized).JPG

No big deal to me, but of course I want to attach that ground wire. I assume I can just use some screw or bolt to connect it, but I'm wondering about the powder coat preventing a proper ground. Should I scrape off a bit of the powder coating near the hole to ensure a proper connection, or would the act of screwing in a bolt fr some sort force a good enough connection as it (I assume) scrapes off the powder coat on the inside of the hole as it turns in?

I’m guessing on new stern builds they changed it. Just thread a bolt in it and the screw will cut the threads, it also may look like there’s powder but it’s just the process. It’ll provide a path to ground

Thanks for the input - I assumed just connecting as is it would be sufficient but wanted a the vote of confidence.

Side note - swapping everything out takes WAY longer than my dumb amateur butt assumed. About half done and ready to call it a night. Will try to finish up after work over the next couple days and get some pics posted and parts back off in the mail.

Thanks for everything Robert - totally happy with the results so far.

Scrape and don't use before measuring conductivity.

I just hit that spot with a dremel to make it like it was from factory, bare metal behind the screw head / connector.

It looks like the premium has the same color spiderwebs as the pro, where I pulled the color. This is what mine looked like in Disco Teal:
