Robert added some metallic flake to give it something more than plain Simpsons yellow and I think it turned out great. This title looks so much better with powercoat.

Curious... are you PC over the older / chromed legs. If so, what about slight rust, pocks, dirt & grime? How is that handled?

Sand blast gets in there pretty good but theres no absolute once the surface is corroded it can linger in the metal. I prep after sand blast with a compound and coat as soon as i can. Its always ideal to buy new legs and i suggest it cause they are only 40.00. Some people opt to not. I haven't had any issues so i dont expect anything. I will say ive had people send me legs from hurricane harvey no joke and i threw them in the trash and ordered new

the finish that you just shown for the Tftc above, have you ever done that with base (under color) red and the major (outer color ) bright yellow? I am looking for something different for a funhouse restore. Love the white you did for my whirlwind

No it cant really be done cause the base coat is a black and silver and the top coat is a translucent red. When the red is applied over yellow itd turn orange etc. Closest thing we can do is a red with bright gold flakes which im still iffy about for fun house. I think a nice red metallic or blue is best. Should be some examples on my thread

I desperately need to do this on a Indiana Jones. I guess the easiest way is to leave it up on a lift table. Any other “I wish I had known” suggestions from this group?

OMG!!! Maybe after all this time we finally discovered the reason behind why the 600 plays Baywatch Pin had no legs... they were out for powder coating!!
