Definitely the correct choice GAP.. It does tones down the structure of the cabinet,, Yet also livens up the art work at the same time.... nice work and cheers to Metallica...
No coin door powder coating....your slipping.... just kidding, great choice. Looks great! But really, powder coat the coin door
Yeah, I don't like doing coin doors, too much for my taste. I do have to put the shooter housing on.
Looks great! I like me some purple. Coin doors look great when done, but they are a pain in the ass to do. I will only do it for myself, not others.

Unlike the cabinet art colors?
i agree stick with purple or gunmetal gray.
looks like Matt @ Back Alley is going to be busy with Powder COating with all the new metallica's coming out.

Jessie. That's for sure. I have 30 Met's to do already. I've been sending people to Matt as well
PS you can't powder stern coin doors (Happ) properly. 1) they are made from shit stamped steel and are covered with imperfections and 2) the coin slots and returns are plastic so they can't be powdered.
What you end up with is a lumpy looking colored door with black eyes. Looks bad.
Looks great. The only way to improve the side rails was to laser cut AC/DC with the EL paper behind it. Just sayin.
Gap in most cases I have to agree with you on not coating the coin door...but I think it would really work on this particular machine...the shooter housing will look great. The whole thing just really looks great together, but just think about it...no more black and a matching Metallica logo decal right in the middle of that coin door....regardless...nice job

Thats why the MoP blows away the Premium/Pro cabinet.
