Hi all
I can’t seem to find an already made topic so wanting to know if anyone has powdercoated the metal ball guides within a game and how did it turn out?
I’m thinking of doing a game with all black guides on the playfield

I have not done it but there is a pinside that does powder coating and has done a lot of wire forms. You can read through there to see what folks have said or ask him. Had him powder coat a coin door and legs and turned out really nice. Hope that helps.

I think it has been numerous times; but I don't have anything specific to share with my machines.
For HUO games; I'd have no problem.
For high use, routed games - I wouldn't as the plastic (powder coat) won't hold up for 1000s of games against the abuse of that metal ball. It' only takes one chip at the wrong spot and the powder coat will be flaking of at some point.

It is HUO but you make a good point about it potentially chipping with ball hits. I might be better served to polish up the mail ball guides like I usually do on my restorations
