Quoted from gumnut01:

So drain the thread.

He's on a mission against the other people he feels are on a mission.

#1422 4 years ago
Quoted from zaphX:

Enjoy your outrage! I'll enjoy my games.

Sometimes it gets hard on Pinside to remember what other people think doesn't have any affect you or how you feel aboot your game.

Quoted from harryhoudini:

.
I’m going to keep this short since you don’t need to hear my drawn out story....

I'm sure he appreciates that

EDIT: Then again he probably gets 10 love letters from Dr Frightner a day so I guess this is kind of short comparatively.

#1434 4 years ago
Quoted from harryhoudini:

My story was succinct compared the amount of belaboring that has gone on in this thread. ....

Don't know if that's the best barometer.

#1436 4 years ago
Quoted from harryhoudini:

I thought it was comically appropriate.

It's hard to tell with you sometimes

#1454 4 years ago
Quoted from harryhoudini:

Btw... 83 people in this thread have voted they have some sort of chipping. I'd say that's a pretty high percentage of participating pinside POTC owners...

Don't doubt there's a problem, hope everyone gets taken care of, let's not act like these are scientific numbers.

#1456 4 years ago
Quoted from harryhoudini:

It's as close as we'll get. Biggest collection of owners centralized that I know of.

Yes but the poll is not limited to owners... You've seen pinside polls

Quoted from Balint:

... I have always thought that a JJ pin was the ultimate one to get...

and that's why their marketing is so good.

Quoted from zr11990:

I know Jack or his daughter is reading this. I cant help but wonder what his reaction is to this thread. screw you Jack

I think he's reading the Jurassic Park 2 thread. I heard they're renaming it "A dark night for JJP..."

#1648 4 years ago
Quoted from wesman:

I was thinking that earlier, how this could cut into Wonka sales.
Can't believe I'm saying this, but the art looks more fun, layout more intriguing, and theme more effectively used than Wonka.

As a PL fan, and somone that owns a DI, from what I've seen of Wonka I wasn't waxing my balls to buy one. Of course I have only watched it not played it and I always give a game a chance, but reading all this noooo way; OUT

Quoted from harryhoudini:

....If there is not movie integration why even bother.

You're saying this in a POTC thread?

#1714 4 years ago
Quoted from EaglePin:

Your response of "I said I didn’t Multiple times or did that answer not work for you as it wasn’t yours?" is very, very interesting. Hmmmm... Seems like that applied to you just a bit ago when you were told multiple times with specific examples that the right people at JJP were contacted and there was confirmation they're aware of the issue but still didn't respond, and somehow that answer didn't work for you because nobody went through a locked Google forum that isn't even publicized as being available by JJP? Very interesting.

Got some dirty folks in this thread.

The twists and turns of this thread!!!

Get off the cross please.
We can afford 5k+ toys & a little bit of foldin monies; no one said we were Certified Letter rich!

Quoted from Lermods:

They have handled warranty issues quickly for me, not for a playfield, but for parts.

Well they currently aren't helping anyone with PFs so it's kind of a big diff'rence.

#1921 4 years ago
Quoted from gumnut01:

So I just got my first stern spike 2 game last night DP premium.
Besides the playfield issue there is no question which game is made to a higher quality. JJP May have made a mistake here but the rest of their kit is top shelf quality.

I don't even know what "quality" means or how you rate it...are you referring to the weight of the machine?
My JJP machine was littered with problems from design, mechs, clearcoat, and assembly. That's all I can say aboot them became that's what I have encountered personally.
But yeah man...that DI of mine is like, heavy as shit. Strong like bull!

#1930 4 years ago
Quoted from gumnut01:

Shooter lane wood, rough as guts. No posts with protectors at start of ramps and lanes... Come on. Worlds apart..

I don't have a DP but all the Sterns I've owned have a clear coated shooter lane... Never heard of a roughness? My SW has metal ramp entry guards too?
True on some of your other points though... Although many of them are things I wouldn't pay more for.

Thank god the fucking carguments have started.

#2067 4 years ago
Quoted from wesman:

This reminds me to go to the doctor. Also many hazards undetectable to me by my naked eye!

It really depends on whether it's a situation that's getting worse (in pinball I mean).
Plenty of shit can be going wrong on a pinball machine and frankly 90% of it you'd never see until you're fucked.

#2101 4 years ago
Quoted from PinMonk:

Pretty sure that's Joe Balcer's SEGA/Data East days bleeding into Houdini.

Yup.

#2136 4 years ago
Quoted from harryhoudini:

So I'm not sure what happened with the last situation...

Unmatched JJP quality shipping!!!

#2142 4 years ago
Quoted from harryhoudini:

So when the one I have falls apart I have something to put in?

So it falls apart?

Quoted from harryhoudini:

? Either you take their shitty offer or what?

Nothing. Play the game and enjoy it and sell it at a loss later; just like every other pinball machine.

Quoted from harryhoudini:

Oh boy, this should be interesting. ....

I wouldn't jump to any conclusions.
