I just come into this thread looking for someone who wants to sell their LE.

#235 4 years ago
Quoted from Ilushka85:

I have a ce also... aren't you glad you can no longer order a ce replacement Playfield because they do not exist?

Soon you won't be able to give your CE away.

Better sell now.

#238 4 years ago
Quoted from Psw757:

Start making offers

I cannot afford CE type offers.

I wish that I had one of these games, I have an idea for a fix.

#242 4 years ago
Quoted from Psw757:

Sledgehammer and a fire pit?

Heck no!

#248 4 years ago
Quoted from Psw757:

Anyone else notice that Wonka doesn’t have these shit posts?
Likely due to a good reason.

Shit posts as in things Pinsiders comment about

Or

Shit posts as in plastic posts that cause playfield problems?

Quoted from Yelobird:

Define does not exist?? Seems like the one I bought looks real??
[quoted image]

This guy is very good with Photoshop.

Quoted from wesman:

I thought maybe he was joking....

I thought he was smoking something.

Quoted from cheshirefilms:

Mylar is a fake fix and pointless for this repair. See my post above from DFW restore master Keith Holbrook.
Rubber washers from Lowe's plus starposts plus switching out the Titans with clear superbands. I'll also put lexan circles under the slingshot plastics themselves, 1 inch on bottom, 3/4 inch on top. I'd do the gummy ones ZaphX uses but we know for sure they leave indentations, my hope is the rubber ones don't. We know for sure they did well in TNA, though.

Star posts should be all that is needed... Assuming damage has not started already.

#424 4 years ago

I don't consider it a risk. No other games have garbage under the posts... Why should this one? The problem is the narrow base and sharp edge on the OE posts.

#428 4 years ago

Mylar sure won't do crap to prevent divots.

#431 4 years ago
Quoted from harryhoudini:

Wrong. TNA has this problem, documented owners using this fix (rubber washer) with success. The issue is the sharp posts and the playfield coating/finish/curing combined, it seems. Narrow posts are too narrow probably for rubber washers, but if you want it worth a shot. That is why everyone is going to star posts with rubber washers. Larger area, easier to use the washer, no sharp edges like the failed narrow posts and covers up any rippling or chipping that is happening.

Wrong back at ya

#433 4 years ago

Star posts and don't make them gorilla tight when installing.

#453 4 years ago

Probably sell it before this happens

#458 4 years ago
Quoted from Mitch:

Sorry you are wrong, even the star posts from the factory are making the clear wavy.
[quoted image]

Gorilla tight right there.

#459 4 years ago
Quoted from cheshirefilms:

You don't even own the game, offer opinions for fixes, troll others to sell- so..[quoted image]

The selling is a joke. When I get the game, I will be doing The fix that I'm suggesting.

#547 4 years ago
Quoted from f3honda4me:

So you're allowed to post about your issues as many times as you want, but I'm not allowed to post about my lack of issues?

Glad that you figured it out.

Opposite the old saying that if you don't have anything nice to say then don't say anything at all. Got it..

Quoted from Soulrider911:

Not completely accurate, I have seen photos of other playfield Posts NOT the sling posts and issues there as well. This appears to be an issue with mounting hardware before the clear is totally cured and or the clear is a bad mix, and is not hardening as it should, or given the time to harden.
Thus, when a post is cranked down in the clear it, can cause the clear to mushroom around the contact point, and eventually will crack in areas with high vibrations / action like slings.

2k clear cures very quickly. The clear is cured but with that edge and cranked down posts the clear has no chance of surviving.

Quoted from harryhoudini:

Well, I have most of the parts off the playfield, lol. Might as well remove some from under it as well.

Do you play your game at all?

#1181 4 years ago
Quoted from cheshirefilms:

profiteering front and center.

For sure.

Doesn't Mirco build these playfields? I would think he can produce a quality playfield.

#1209 4 years ago
Quoted from harryhoudini:

I HAVE problems.

Me too.. right now, I'm out of town and cannot play my game. Probably got a hoard of other problems but I'm going to work on my first problem when I get home... Lack of play.

Did put a bunch of games on DI while out of town. May have to add that one to the collection soon.

#1240 4 years ago
Quoted from harryhoudini:

Sounds like that is the case,, free shipping, but maybe it's easier to get the parts yourself (they are cheap) and do rubber washers.

Far easier to fill out the request online and have the stuff shipped to you free from JJP. Mine arrived in a few days

Quoted from wesman:

God that's horrible.... I appreciate the update. I wonder what the best protective measure would be?
This is why I'm paranoid about installing star posts. I fear doing so only could increase the damage area, and wonder if a neoprene washer helps alleviate that or worsen.

Those posts are hollow, I wonder if solid posts would spread the load better and not cause this.

#1293 4 years ago
Quoted from wesman:

Yeah, I'm at the point of, if there's pressure, this will occur. So is spreading more pressure, well across a wider radius, a good thing?

Pressure is reduced by distributing the load across a greater area.
