Guess I am the original reporting this a month after the game was released. Worked with Mirco, worked with Jack, neither offered anything to remediate.

Both sides on the bottom. A star post at each and some sealer seems to have helped.

Yeah, I must admit I don’t know that I will do another NIB. It was a stretch for me to spend the extra cash on a JJP. Then to have this happen was painful to watch. I give it to Mirco, they did reach out right away and they said they were going to talk to Jack about it. But then nothing. Refused all offers to remediate.

I am an original owner HUO. Chips after a month. No love here for any remediation. I offered to buy a new playfield at cost and was turned down.

That is what I tried at first. Your mileage may be different but mine kept on getting worse and cracking further around the post. Eventually you could get to the point where it is all the way around and that would probably end there. It never got too far into the playfield that I couldn't cover it with a star post for the most part.

Interesting...on the poll right now it is just about 50/50. But you always assume that those that don't vote or see the thread, don't have issues.

It is what I offered way back when this first popped up in October. Glad they finally agree. Don’t know that I will ever do a NIB again after this with this price point. But overall happy with the outcome.

Just wanted to thank Harry for going down the rabbit hole with JJP. As I shared with him, I went down the same path he did. Original owner, registered the day I got it, reported issues within 30 days, cracking at both slings on a new $9500 game back in October/November of last year. All of the staff saw the pics. Jack himself told me that is just pinball and offered nothing. I offered to buy a new playfield at cost and was turned down. Hate to say it but I will not buy new again. Between JJP quality issues and Stern code, it just doesn’t make sense to jump in. Glad others will, more power to you and I truly wish you luck.

Generally I would have agreed with you.

I have tried to get in to that group for months. I emailed, Frank emailed, multiple times. Still can’t get someone to let me into the group.

In the end, JJP knows of the issue from multiple owners through multiple pathways at every level of the company. This unfortunately isn’t an issue of getting to the right person. Which is why I eventually gave up.

Sad that we are now seeing this on the new Stern JP pins. I am out until the industry figures out the new manufacturing process. Was looking for 2 more pins for the collection but I am willing to ride it out to not go through what I did I on POTC. Still love the game, but this is unacceptable. It’s like a car where the paint peels. Yes it is cosmetic. But no, it isn’t ok.

Jack himself denied the warranty claim
Star post on now and now are chipping at the star posts even further out
Pisses me off every time I look at it
