My ce does not have any washers and the clear is rolling. Not chipped yet but just a matter of time.

#231 4 years ago
Quoted from harryhoudini:

Anyone get any tangible replies from JJP? I have not.

I am waiting for a reply as well

#234 4 years ago
Quoted from FryDaddy:

Well it is happening to my CE also.
[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]

I have a ce also... aren't you glad you can no longer order a ce replacement Playfield because they do not exist?

#236 4 years ago
Quoted from kcZ:

Soon you won't be able to give your CE away.
Better sell now.

As much as I love it I might consider doing that if I could get out what I had in it. Mine hasn't chipped yet and taking the appropriate measures before playing it anymore.

#240 4 years ago
Quoted from wesman:

Holy smokes...
Didn't you just get this the other week? How many plays do you have on it?

Ive had mine for a bit and I have under 100 plays. Just to give you an idea of how quick the issue is to come. The posts are far too rough and were tightened too much to early.

#244 4 years ago
Quoted from zaphX:

Green star posts look pretty sweet to cover it on the CE.[quoted image][quoted image]

Can you provide a link for them? Are you putting them under the ship and other places also?

#249 4 years ago
Quoted from FryDaddy:

My new play field is under the bed and when all of the art peels off it will be time to break it out.

Well lucky that you bought one in time. No such luck here.

#251 4 years ago
Quoted from PanzerFreak:

If a game does have chipping heres what I would recommend doing.
1. With a small detail brush apply clear to damaged area, allow to dry
2. Mylar over top, 1-2 layers
3. Install starposts over thin plastic / lexan washers
I believe the "solution" above would minimize further damage and make existing damage not noticeable.

Thats all great but... lets just say im a customer who wasn't handy who will do this and what will it cost. Keep in mind to do this on all those bad posts means removing ship, and ball launch ramp etc.

Quoted from Yelobird:

Define does not exist?? Seems like the one I bought looks real??
[quoted image]

Does not exist on the jjp site for sale anymore

#275 4 years ago
Quoted from Yelobird:

I'll sell you mine, no postgate either! lol $3,000 lolol JK

I’ll pay you 3k for it if you first install my posts with no washers the way the factory did. If no postgate we have a deal

#304 4 years ago
Quoted from mtp78:

I emailed Frank at JJP asking if I could get the washers that were used on the CE models
2 days later still no replie.. why cant they just sell us the washers that some factory installed games came with ? Seems like an easy fix to prevent damage

My ce had no washers and has the issue.

#319 4 years ago
Quoted from Coz:

Has anyone reached out to Eric? hogbog

I did. Offered to send washers.

#325 4 years ago
Quoted from f3honda4me:

I actually do have a set of cliffys on the way (someday lol).

Me too. Wish someone would stock and sell them.

Quoted from harryhoudini:

Here is a possible solution that could be shared with a bunch of people.
Buy one sheet of this: amazon.com link »
One set of these: amazon.com link »
Boom, a bunch of silicone washers. I have no idea if that material is soft enough or thick enough but I'd be happy to buy it and find out if others would want to chip in a few bucks for a few washers and shipping. Heck, I may just do it on my own. I wanted to find a clear sheet to do this with but all the clear silicone sheets are really thin, at least what I could find on Amazon.
My search for clear silicone washers (gaskets/flat o-rings, etc) came up way short. Can only find some on chinese import sites or from some asian country on ebay. I'd do the same, go in for a lot of them, if others were interested.

Just ordered will be here Saturday.

FYI my new ybr has sharp posts and it’s also gigging into clear / area. Ten games in and wide dust near the posts just like my pirates ce.

Quoted from Dr-pin:

Another issue for me contemplating buying a rrwoz or a hobbit nib, is ofcourse if production change in regards to coating/varnish renders having later produced hobs and woz having The same issues?

My ybr has the same issues in clear and same sharp posts.

#1156 4 years ago
Quoted from harryhoudini:

Oh damn! That is not good. Can you keep us updated as to what happens with the playfield and if JJP does/says anything? Did you alert them?

They are sending a second post update kit which is same as potc for ybr
