I picked up a POTC recently. It does appear to be a bit 'hacked' in parts. One thing I noticed was that the left flipper is a 5020 coil and the right is a 5030. The manual seems to indicate both should be a 5030.
Does anyone have experience with this? I've definitely gotten WMS machines with de-powered flippers, but I've seen it less on Sterns. I've also seen some references to them using different coils on some machines.
