There is No Compensation for the ship opto not working on POTC.
But the problem is probably one of the connectors are loose for the optos to the board directly underneath the ship under the playfield...
Quick, dirty fix is to bend the pins out, put back on Molex connectors, and then put a cable tie around both sets of connectors and board; tighten until they can't move.
