I'm 99% sure that those wires were installed in the factory, and that other POTCs have the same wires. I can't remember the reason, but I recall seeing a thread somewhere that describes why it was done.

I think I remember that thread, and it saying it was a design flaw that they sent out a service note for and then fixed internally
