Having just got my LE the first mod was to level the BG ramp,
ground down the rh post and added a washer between the lh post and the ramp

before.jpg
after.jpg

Also added a topper and a led strip behind the back panel to light up the ramps red

#202 6 years ago

That topper is just as cool as all of the others if not better!

#203 6 years ago

I'm all for modifying your game to your own liking. Maybe just tone it down a bit an minimise the color changes so the ones you do make stand out better. Most importantly be happy with what you do after all it is your machine

I just got my well walker back from BAC

Thats a slick looking pin Rapz!

#206 6 years ago

Just curious, I used the 2 SMD 6.3 AC/DC Supreme brightness with a fluted dome leds from comet, 44's warm white on the GI and I notice they are flickering once the game is activated? The double leds that came with the game do not. Let me know what you think, I don't want to fry anything. I actually love it as its created this haunting shimmer while the reds stay fully lit.

How much is he charging to do these now? Do you have to send original or does he swap them out upon receipt?

#209 6 years ago

Not sure the cost yet but I took mine off and gave it to him when I saw him

One of the benefits of living close to him

Well I love the flicker of the warm GI lights, just put on the red rubbers and changed the right white GI bulb by the out lane to red, my game now seems possessed and feels different in the best way possible. Warm GI lights are absolutely necessary to create the right mood on this pin. With the topper coming I just couldn't be happier with it.

Nice stuff. I am really enjoying the bright white LEDs on the game as is because I've been so used to the warm IC glow of older games. Either lighting is equally good and it is simply personal preference. It's nice to see your mods and the effort you have been putting into the machine. I also really appreciate all the pictures you've posted and the effort taken in doing so.

Let us know when you get the topper. I'm out west, so I wouldn't be surprised if you get it first. It has been great to see the topper available in Canada as per our previous posts. The Stern store had a "US only" caveat that looked worrisome to me. So it was a big bonus to find out that a Canadian distributor was able to order them.

I know what your saying about the warm glow and if that's what you like, cool. But I'm telling ya it looks a lot better warm, just fits the color of the playfield better and gives the game a creepy look. I would highly recommend it to anyone who has TWD.

Make sure you get that left sling rubber back behind the bulb, its out of place

The dimming backbox board works great on TWDLE and really reduces the glare from the backglass, the title especially.

Just found my first replacement for Uncle Bob Well walker Zombie. Its not for me but this one is and I'm going to try light him up with a 3 led strip from comet, cut out the eyes and should look great.

I am very impressed by this, that absolutely belongs on this game.. A+!

#222 6 years ago

They are TWD piggy banks, several different models available. I'm going to order a red led strip and drill out his eyes for effect. $20

That's the biggest issue with my pro the translite glare really is a problem can you add flashers in yours?

#224 6 years ago

Yeah, flashers wouldn't be a problem. Whether you wanted to add them yourself or I could make you a flasher version of it. Let me know what you're thinking!

#225 6 years ago

Not exactly a mod, maybe a behavior modification?

Set up for high score tournament play. My son and his friends are competing for $200 grand prize.

Competition ends Dec 25th at 6:00 pm.

NOW all they do is try to best eachother on TWD! image-171.jpg

Looks great. Where did you find this figure in Canada? Let us canucks know.

#228 6 years ago

Local comic shop. There all over. I think only 2 models in color or black and white. I must have the other one, black and white might look cool. I'm getting them all for variety, that's variety I can appreciate.

In most cases they actually have more mods then there LE counter parts

#232 6 years ago

I'm still debating getting the black and red splotched Stern armor or keeping my LE armor, which is pretty cool itself.

And whats this limited time crap Stern has posted on the Gov's fishtank topper?? Preemie buyers are gonna be pissed if this is sold out before they can get one.

#233 6 years ago

And when are they making the armour available anyway? They showed it off on Facebook at the start of the month.

I got my Fish Tank and Side Art Panels yesterday and installed them today in my LE, here they are if you care to take a look: P1010054.JPGP1010055.JPGP1010056.JPGP1010057.JPG

The side art blends very well with the artwork on the LE, plus I'm loving the fish tank! Best topper ever!

#237 6 years ago

How was the side panel installation?

After some tips from a few folks, it only took about 10 minutes tops! Not difficult at all. Looks good!

Not too bad. Instead of removing the playfield, I rested the support brackets over the lock bar reciever, and held it up using a 3 foot long 3/8th drive extension at the end of the playfield near the head. I had my son stabilize everything while I put the art work on. Took a total of 10 minutes. Walk in the park.

Great idea! Would you mind sharing how you attached the hollow zombie to the well walker bracket?

Just a little bit of crazy glue, I'm working a way to have it so I can swap out the Zombie for other models as I find them, simple really but I have no patience and glued him down, its holding up really well. Probably going to leave this one on anyway.

Amazing, is "itsshowtime" from Creepshow. You can't kill us Richard, because were already dead" My favorite movie.

Just added this today, not sure if I want to illuminate his eyes, looks pretty creepy as is. Man decisions and more decisions, life can be tough sometimes.
