Quoted from Pecos:

One shows very poor backglass.

Saw this a couple of days ago and have been wondering about the backglass. Guessing he tried to clean it when he got it inside and lots of paint flaked off. Otherwise the pictures just don't make sense.

Quoted from BorgDog:

I'm thinking about picking one up for a rainy day(s) project. Can't stand Black Knight or Firepower, don't know Agents 777 or Alien star, which would be the better one to get?

Don't know Agents 777. Alien Star is a cool game.
Something looks way off on the playfield on that Firepower, in addition to being trashed, dirty and outside.

You can't steal the Fonz! That's just wrong.

Quoted from Pindufus:

I left a bill on his door for two hours of my time.

Nice touch!

#1509 8 years ago
Quoted from Pindufus:

omeone told him the King Kool backglass was worth $1000 and apparently he wasn't able to figure out how to remove the backbox. So, he literally cut the back box off and clipped off all the wires.

That's pretty sad.

Quoted from Pecos:

Manufacturer: Williams
Game/Type: Gulfstream / EM 1 Player

Backglass is pretty bad, but BGResto has Gulfstream if anyone picks this up.

#1647 7 years ago
Quoted from Tsskinne:

The playfield on it is completely trashed, like missing 50% of the paint trashed.

So, you're saying it's "recently shopped and HUO".

Should be a fun project for someone. GLWS!

but for every "Time Warp" we got

Whoa whoa whoa - Back off on Time Warp. I love the weirdo art on that.
But yeah, Williams had some odd ones in that period.

Just Curious,
One in your neck of the woods.
Sincerely,
Project Poobah Pecos
Manufacturer: Atari
Game/Type: Airborne Avenger / SS Widebody System 1 4 Player

Cost: $150 (!)
Location: Redford (Detroit), MI
Link/Contact: detroit.craigslist.org link
Condition: OP: " Overall, great condition, but may require some minor work - electronic score scrambles sometimes. Pickup only."

Wow. That looks like a steal for someone willing to tackle an Atari. Much better than the guy who keeps posting his non-working Superman for $1,800, and don't bother to offer less, he knows what these are worth.

Thanks zacaj for this post. Been looking for a good EM for a buddy - he called and purchased! Hope it is still there when he goes to get it.

Quoted from SilverBallKid:

Just curious as I am new to "shopping" for games on CL. Trying to bring in a "new" game before Christmas.

Michigan CL is a tough place to get a good deal on pinballs. Way too many people looking constantly, scooping up any reasonable deals, and then re-selling the game at an inflated price. Don't rush for Christmas. Just wait for a good deal on a game you want. And if you get one, try to pick up the game immediately, before some ass contacts the seller and talks them into taking $5 more and leaving you out in the cold.

#4135 7 years ago
Quoted from Pecos:

The original wood and legs were refinished and are worth over $100 alone

Same guy that has had the non-working Atari Superman on CL for $1,500 for about a year. Keeps threatening to fix it and raise the price if no one buys it. Good luck with that.

Quoted from Grayman_EM:

This lot includes the following machines. The pinball machines have not yet been tested. I will eventually test them all, but I wanted to get the word out in case someone wants to check them out before I go through them. I am open to offers on individual pinball machines. Feel free to ask any questions, but I am not too familiar with pinball machines in general. They are all in a very accessible garage. Sold as is. I can help load them. Thanks for looking!!

What is that behind the games, with the molded people?

Quoted from Matesamo:

What a strange post. Images that obviously are taken from the internet and not the items he is selling. Looks like he is suggesting a Fireball and a Space Mission but Space Mission is Williams and the photos are from different Ebay auctions featuring different machines. -SHRUG-

One of those pics is a Fireball home game. Wondering if the "Elvis" in the ad is a home model "Alive".

Edit - So basically what Bluespin said already..................

#6746 6 years ago
Quoted from bluespin:

A partial 1982 Bally Speakeasy pinball machine, repurposed to be used as a conversation piece coffee table; operational, but without backbox, ability to score or angle for proper ball movement. Cabinet sides are painted in a dark purple blue color with a “Speakeasy” graphic in red and white. The game table is colorfully decorated with casino graphics such as playing cards, poker chips, and dice. Lighting is activated by a toggle switch to the underside of the right corner at the play end.

And there's a bulb out in one of the roll thru lanes. I'm out.
