Mystery Machine - Are you feeling lucky?

Condition: OP: "Pinball machine ,asking 50 dollers, come check it out ,could be nice .full size quarter machine."

Picking this up this afternoon. It's a Williams Grand Prix. After hearing the description, I agreed to buy it sight unseen. Luckily, I just happen to have "50 dollers" sitting around. I'll post photos on the "What machine did you bring home today?" thread after I get it.

Welcome Pindufus! Yeah, a Williams Grand Prix for under a hundred bucks is a no brainer. Congrats on your pick up!

Well, looks like I posted too soon. Drove an hour to meet him at a time of his choosing. Wasn't there and he wasn't returning phone calls. At that price, I can understand having it sold out from under me. But not having the balls to tell me and save me a trip is pretty low. I left a bill on his door for two hours of my time.

Relisting with price reduced from $250 each to $300 for both. The Gottlieb is a King Kool, 2 player, with backbox in this listing.
sarasota.craigslist.org link

I had called the first time these went up and was told they were sold. Called again with the relisting and was told the owner has "parted them out". Someone told him the King Kool backglass was worth $1000 and apparently he wasn't able to figure out how to remove the backbox. So, he literally cut the back box off and clipped off all the wires. He'll sell the machine including the severed head for $150. The backglass, however, costs another grand. Pretty sad considering in the first ad, the playfield looked really good and the backglass did appear to be perfect.

The Jolly Roger is trashed with a backglass that is cracked and has severe flaking. It's been partly parted out. There is also considerable wear around the flippers area which has been 'cleverly' hidden. LOL

Picked this up this evening for $100 which may have been too much. Some photos are in the 'What did you bring home today' topic. Two of the fuses have been wrapped in tinfoil so it definitely has some issues.

Quoted from Pecos:

Don't know what to think about this deal:
Manufacturer: Mylstar
Game/Type: Ready...Aim...Fire! / SS 4 Player

It's legit. He's got a new girlfriend and moving to a new apartment. Pins gotta go. A 'semi-hobbyist'. I talked to the guy and almost pulled the trigger on the deal. Just don't have the room right now. The Ready Aim Fire is a rare machine with only 390 produced. He gave the run down on the machines and they are, in his words, in "semi-collector's condition".
