Very sad, I am doing this for a good friend's wife right now.
Quoted from bluespin:
cheddar I checked the two companies that make reproduction Gottlieb backglasses (homestead and Shay) and they don’t make this glass. I suggest that you call Mayfair Amusements to see if they have a nos one in stock, condition and pricing. If they have one match their price/obo. If they don’t I suggest $200 obo.
Quoted from too-many-pins:
Pretty much as I expected - 150 miles driven, 10 hours wasted, and I came home with two small boxes of parts. I am glad you were happy with the backglasses you grabbed!
They listed 75+ backglasses and that was correct but sadly only about 25% of them were nice. And for what they were I thought prices were pretty crazy. Pinball machines sold close to retail and the shelving unit of parts didn't end up at the auction. One of the girls said "we didn't bring that stuff because we didn't know if it would be worth bringing". So there were a total of 8 small boxes of mixed parts and other than a box with a Gottlieb Chime unit in it that went for $75 the rest of the parts were not worth talking about. I knew better but I needed a day off anyway! The good thing is I had a chance to talk to several pinball friends I only see once or twice a year. That was the highlight of the day for me.
Skip, thought about driving out. Looks like I made the right choice not doing so. I never do well at auction. Thanks for the update.
Both of these are are the same ad who has no phone number, hasn't responded to emails, and lists them in Haverstraw NY on the North Jersey and New Jersey CLs.
Has anyone else tried to contact this seller? Ryan, how did you get Soccer Kick-Off as a title? Your link lists no game titles...
99% Sure it's Irv, this is him on eBay.
he purchased over a 100 machines from the Silverman auction.
Looking to move 2 projects. Posting here before I deal with the Craig's List scammers. One complete Williams Lady Luck, descent backglass and playfield. Has back door and legs. Cabinet flaky and has a s split that can easily be glued. Also a complete body for a Williams Smarty, solid cabinet wear on playfield, no coin door or lock down bar (no head). $200 for both.
Added 20 months ago: Machines are sold to a fellow pinsider. Thanks
Quoted from jaytrem:
Got it! Meeting was postponed for 15 min. It's a Sky Lab missing it's head. Must have burnt up on re-entry. Got a little wet, but not bad. The playfield is in real nice shape. May end up as wall art. Was a super quick pickup so didn't look it over that well. Will post pics later.
Thanks again to parzval and ibuypinballs for the heads up!
KOOL! Happy someone here grabbed it.
Here you go, an other free pinball in NJ! Someone go get this. Good luck
make / manufacturer: Bally
model name / number: Odds and Evenes
Vintage 1973 Bally Odds and Evens pinball machine. It worked until recently, my have blown a fuse. Needs to be restored. Offering to anyone willing to remove it (needs two people and a pickup truck). and who would like a great winter project restoring this cool machine.
Quoted from too-many-pins:
Here I go again - spending time and money trying to make junk into a whole machine. But that is what the hobby is all about. Thankfully I am down to my last couple headless bodies and I have a couple super nice playfields I am looking for machines that have trashed playfields in them to drop those playfields into then I'll be done trying to save some of my junk!
Skip let me know if your riding up this way. I'm sure I have something for you!
Someone from the auction company was handing out flyers about the Garnet Valley auction at the York White Rose show a couple of weeks ago. The buyer’s premium for this auctions is 18% plus 6% PA sale tax.
Quoted from Vic_Camp:
Bally's 1962 TWIST bingo is one Bingo Pinball Machine you don't see for sale that often. It's theme is base on the number one hit record by Chubby Checkers and is a great player. I bet this one is in good condition too. This game would great in some musician's or record collector's game room or in my bingo pinball machine line up.
The ball bowler is the hot item at that sale.
Quoted from nascarrey:

I spoke with the estate sale company early today, no deals here!
