Double Barrel, 1961 Williams: $500

Looks like a cool game! Where's Colsond3 when you need him? "IF I WERE CLOSER!!!" Additionally, the "experts" from Pawn Stars had their mitts on it. Sooo...thoroughly shopped? *LOL*

Well at least this one is in my area.

Never mind the rust on the lock-down bar and coin door, or the bumper cap missing the center, or that at least one of the displays isn't working, or the beat up front of the cabinet including the door, or the missing flipper band, or ...

Playfield and backglass appear okay, but hard to tell just how good they are with the blurry pictures.

Quoted from Captive_Ball:

The 81' version is considered amoung EBD enthusiasts as the most desirable of the three runs, 81, 82 (LE), 84. The reason the number is $2800, is because many of the 81's are fully restored and can command $4-6K. The LE is considered the ugly duckling of the group. Still the same great playing machine, but it has the Rapid Fire cabinet. Same can also be said for Centaur and Centaur II.

So how much would one of these go for?EBD Early Production (resized).pngEBD Early Production (resized).png

Quoted from Captive_Ball:

Interesting displays in that game. Look like alphanumeric Gottlieb. There must be a story....do tell

Yup. Futuba alpha numeric displays. Here's the same machine next to an early production model:

#3638 7 years ago
Quoted from PinFixin:

That is the prototype Eight Ball Deluxe. Bally made 3 games during that time that were prototypes with the blue displays, KISS, Flash Gordon, and EBD. The KISS version had speech.
I don't know how many there are of each, but I would guess single/double digits. Is that one for sale?
-Pat

Probably not. It's part of the collection in Banning California. The picture is from two years ago (but it was still there back in January).

Manufacturer: Bally
Game/Type: Firecracker / EM 4 Player
Month/Year: July 1970
Production: 2,800
Cost: Starting Bid: $499.99 (No current bids) Auction ends Sunday
Location: Gladys, Virginia
Contact/Link: ebay.com link » Vintage 1971 Bally Firecracker Pinball Machine Latin America Mexican Theme
OP: This upright machine has the play counter at 72,457 and when it was moved into storage it came on in TEST mode only. It definitely needs new rubber, it has wear to the playfield paint, and the backglass paint as well. I am not sure what other work it might need and it is sold AS-IS for parts/repair. 1 of the 4 steel legs is bent, but I think those would not be hard to reproduce (and might possible be able to be straightened at a shop). I am not a pinball expert, so I cannot determine condition of the machine much further than that.

... never mind the rust and the missing apron.

Pop a Card project in NJ (good player IMO)

"seller says playfield nice, will put pictures up on ebay later"
"back door probably missing"

Wow. How bad is the TOP of the playfield since the seller won't post one picture of it ? (but lots of pictures of the underside!).
And that back-glass is in awful condition.

Gotta talk down the price and get better photos though.

Yeah, if your selling a machine like this something more than one fuzzy picture of the back glass would be nice.

"Space Shuttle Pinball machine, needs minor repairs
owned for 30 years. Multi-ball play, OBO"

Condition: "... it is working mostly but I would still consider it a project machine, I have repaired many items on it but I am ready for a change."

...also...

Now I have to figure out what to do with all my knock-off games missing their certificates of authenticity.

Very tempting. Only 35-40 Miles from me. From what I can see of the play field, it looks like it's in nice shape. Even the bumper caps look like they're okay. The cabinet and Back Glass look so-so, but it's hard to tell the overall condition from those photos.
