Quoted from mark532011:

I doubt you will be first.. dang that is a sweet deal

It was posted a month ago too. Number is disconnected. If it's legit you're gonna be knocking on his door and hoping he's at home

Quoted from DakotaMike:

Yeah, that's one of those deals where you show up strapped and you notify a bunch of people exactly where you'll be!

It's 130 miles from me and still posted on Craigslist. I just want to know if it's real or not.

Quoted from Bortino:

Super cheap funhouse
Wonder if it was real.[quoted image]

Pictures were from a restoration in Arizona. Other games in the background as well (seller should have some sense of what it's worth). Almost definitely a scam.

Quoted from bluespin:

Manufacturer: Zaccaria
Game/Type: Pinball Champ / SS
Month/Year: April 1983
Production: Unknown
Cost: $695
Location: Petaluma, CA
Pinsider: jamesbon1
Contact/Link: https://pinside.com/pinball/market/classifieds/ad/117300
OP: Reduced price (on a rarely seen for sale game) to actual cost to make space for new games.
Zaccaria Pinball from Italy was the 3rd largest manufacturer of pinball machines in the world (behind Bally & Williams). They had created and produced more than 35 different pinball machines between 1974 and 1987.
This one has the 7 digit scoring display. The 7 digit is more rare than the 8 digit version. Game appears to be complete other than 2 small playfield inserts missing (see pix). Machine does not boot up at the moment. Playfield appears to be in great shape for its age. Backglass is flaking but can be sealed and touched up. All boards, transformer and displays are there. This game was acquired as part of a bulk buy from a collector that passed away. This game has a lot of potential but I just don’t have the time to deal with it. Fix this up and keep it or sell it and make some money. Could send more pics.
Here’s info on one that was restored.

Shipping via STI/Beltmann ok or pick up in the San Francisco Bay Area. Local delivery available for an additional fee. Reply with phone# and get this before it’s gone. PayPal f and f preferred.

I bought this pending shipping details! Thanks for the heads up. I have wanted a Pinball Champ since playing it at Pinburgh a few years back.

Quoted from alyssa:

Looking for advice (first project purchase!).. is 1500 fair for a Xenon that isn't booting up? Altek MPU, but when they got the repaired soundboard/ driver board it didn't boot.
I've seen functional ones go for less, but the original PF is important to me and this one won't need a hardtop. It also has this metal part on the cabinet but I don't really care enough to change it... input appreciated, thanks!
Listing for "tax"-- Buccaneer $650 MD, needs new fuse box and legs https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/592942198393522/ [quoted image]

If the playfield is in decent shape then yes. My guess if they have an Alltek and repaired driver board in it is that the rectifier board might need attention. Worse case a new one is not that expensive. Could also be something simple like a blown solenoid fuse if they don't know much about repairs.

Quoted from Ballypin:

When "It's More Fun to Compete" ain't gettin' it.
Thank God it wasn't a Bally.
[quoted image][quoted image]

Snow Derby is an awesome game. I'd buy that for sure if it were near me even with the custom artwork.

#22015 2 years ago

I wish that Free Fall had popped up last week when I was nearby. My father in law would love that game and lives in the area but don't think I can convince him to go grab it solo.

Quoted from NicoVolta:

Or especially with this custom artwork?
[quoted image]

Sure, but as they say "I don't play the cabinet."

Quoted from ralphwiggum:

I have a Genie mega-project machine available. Playfield is currently torn down completely, as the previous owner tried to clear it and it is terrible. I was able to remove the clear without damage with rubbing alcohol and a sanding sponge, but only did one small section.
Pictures of the machine are here- https://1drv.ms/f/s!Akk53b-cuRJ0i_BFfQzG88XydoxZFg
$200 without back box boards and displays, $450 with boards and displays. The boards are rotten dog power supply, aftermarket cpu (don’t recall brand), and factory driver board.
It was sold to me as a working project, but I have never fired it up.
Everything about it is rough but saveable based on your skill set.

That playfield looks nice under the clear. Definitely worth trying to save.

Quoted from polyacanthus:

Where's the fun in a fully working pin? We're all here looking for something to fix up, right?

I have never bought a pin that didn't need any work, even if advertised as fully working. Even NIB ones often need some switch adjustment.

Me: I used to own this title. Fun game.

I can't see the ad either but that's either a screaming deal or the moldiest/firebombed/flooded/termite infested/left outside for 3 years Robo-War ever.

Quoted from Daditude:

If I were closer, I would definitely go look at it. It looks R-O-U-G-H, though.
At the price these are going for these days...if one of you guys are nearby, you should really go check it out.

How rough is R-O-U-G-H?

Pretty much every bit of exposed metal on my Excalibur was rusted and corroded, worth bringing back for the nice playfield and rarity though. Pretty much every drop targets spring fell apart in my hands.

For $700 that is still a steal. I'd be all over it if it were anywhere close to me..

Gottlieb Counterforce
$350
Montgomery, Texas
Says it worked the head was taken off.
Not mine

Counterforce is an awesome and rarely seen title.

Really cool Space Invaders style rules where the insert lights on the drop targets move toward you and you have to knock them down before they get to you.

Working or not that's a good deal!

Quoted from dung:

We have very different environments then. I had to put a hold on buying because I have way more opportunities than there is time for.
Since December I have gotten the following for under 1k each.
Blackout
Viking
Star Trek (Bally)
Waterworld
Gorgar
Speakeasy
Black Hole
Black Knight
Firepower
Silverball Mania

Send some of those my way! KC sounds like a project pin paradise.

Why do many Rocket III’s for sale within a 48 hour period?! Wasn’t another one listed a week or two ago?
It’s raining classic Ballys!

Same thing happened with Surfers a month ago, 2 in BC a few weeks apart. I was able to pick up 1. I've played Rocket III and it's alright. The spinning disk up top is cool but super random...so much of the game is praying it hits some mushroom bumpers for ya.

Quoted from JethroP:

So this guy is selling his EBD. I get one very fuzzy picture, but ok...I call him and he tells me it's not working, but was recently serviced, new boards, new rubbers....I ask if there is any paint missing on the playfield, he says a little; "one spot where the ball goes down, and one spot up by a bumper." I drive an hour and a half to find this.
Liar, lair pants on fire.
Anyway, I'm now looking for a hardtop or EBD playfield. My latest project [quoted image]

I mean technically....hahaha. He's right that there's one spot of wear by the drops/pop, and one between the flippers. Just neglected to mention that they're kinda massive.

At least if you do a hardtop you're already a good portion of the way there for sanding it down!
