Quoted from Pecos:

Manufacturer: Williams
Game/Type: Spanish Eyes / EM 1 Player
Month/Year: March 1972
Production: 3,905
Cost: $500
Location: Mequon (Milwaukee), WI
Link/Contact: milwaukee.craigslist.org link
Condition: OP: "Needs repairing."

I picked this one up on Saturday. Probably not worth the $500 I paid for it but I'm still happy as hell to have it. After a couple of hours i have it mostly functional.

PS: I love this thread.

Funny you would mention that. I had contacted her early on but told her that I thought she was overpriced at $500 and that if she didn't have much interest over the next several days to let me know.
I guess she found the right buyer at the right time and at her price. Is the game in decent condition? I couldn't really tell from the pictures she sent me. I need a project game to fix up and donate to an upcoming fundraiser and this was a potential candidate.

It was in decent condition, but rougher than i had hoped. Overall it's filthy and there were a number of things not working. Probably the saddest things are contact paper circles around the pop bumpers and flaking & bad touch ups in a number of areas on the backglass. I've been looking for a Spanish Eyes for many months and this was the first in a price range and location that worked for me. I wasn't keen on haggling or walking away after driving 2 hours to see it.

I've got some of those horrible Wico contact paper, pop bumper rings if you want some fresh ones.

So hideous. Are yours wood-grained too?

I am going to leave them be in the short term lest i catapult myself into a playfield restoration before i'm ready—which is what happened with my last EM project!

Really? Nobody can cough up $300 for it? That would be gone in a hot second here in the northeast.

Maybe it's just Chicago, but this machine comes up for sale a lot, and usually in much better condition at not much higher cost.

Quoted from Pecos:

Manufacturer: Gottlieb
Condition: Unknown. Something has been done to cabinet and coin door. I'm not sure what, exactly.

that is a crazy repaint. Shame because the rest of it looks like it's in great condition

This is right by my parents house. It's so pretty I want to snatch it up but it doesn't seem like it will be that much fun to play. Any thoughts?

Just my opinion, but it was the most boring game I ever owned.

thanks. I don't think it will be worth the trouble for me then.
