From the seller this pin ball machine is NOT currently working. It did work fine with many hours of play time before we moved it to Caddo Mills. We had a service guy look at it and he said it needs to be cleaned. We need it gone asap! Make me an offer See less

Darn. That's right by me, and I was working.

Quoted from bluespin:

I’m wondering if anyone has used a stern em body to build a classic Stern ss pin like Quicksilver, Star Gazer, etc. I’ll post in the Stern Electronics Group.

Look at it this way: A standard size cabinet is a standard size cabinet. And they are made of wood. Take a Williams pin cabinet. Williams coin doors are smaller than the classic Stern coin doors so all you have to do is open up the coin door hole with a saber saw and you can fit in a Stern coin door and it will fit fine.

I think the EM Sterns use the same back box and back box mounting collar.

It would not take too much work to use it for a Quicksilver, I think.

If an Eight Ball fell into my lap I would not mind having one. But my pin chasing days are over. There is no more room at the Inn.

However, I will allow that I would load up for a chase for a Gottlieb TX-Sector. Other than that, I am done.

Steve has a pretty decent Eight Ball you can play whenever you want, and he installed the new code also. No need to own it.

He has a very nice Eight Ball. It is an ass kicker.

All I know is that I think I'd rather work on almost any of the recent projects over this thing. I have two crummy playfields to strip down for parts so I can get them off my shop floor. And that's not even working on the game... just stripping parts off ahead of the real work.

Pretty awful. I think my friend bought this pf almost exclusively for the rack of balls, which his original lacked. He got so incredibly upside down in this thing before throwing in the towel. The playfield I'm ultimately going to be working with is much nicer, thankfully. The two junker playfields just need stripped of all parts. This nasty one will go in the burn pile. The other one is presentable enough to hang on the wall.

Ultimately this is going to be a very long process for me but having $0 currently invested and effectively two+ games worth of parts, plus new plastics/glass, I feel like it's doable without TOO terribly much more money thrown at it. I hope...

I'm not really into EMs, or woodrails, but this one does have a pretty neat light show with the rack. I guess it helps that all the startup costs were taken on by someone else.

I would love to restore that... I don't care how much money in the hole it would be, just the fun of bringing it back to life!

My friend made every mistake possible on this little journey. He sunk so much money into it in order to get all the parts he knew he'd need, then realized there was absolutely no way he'd ever get it going again.

Tbh I know absolutely nothing about EMs so it's going to be a lengthy learning process. Right now I'm focusing on depopulating the two loose playfields and cleaning/organizing all the things that come off of them. Once that's done I'm going to have to start reading some guides on how to actually fix a woodrail. I'm beyond clueless.

I’m glad someone who’s not me said it!

Although, the first picture is definitely too far gone.

Been staring at this Daffie for days and aside from the cool art and zipper flippers I can't convince myself this is a fun game. Any other opinions?

Cab will need a repaint for sure, when it's all said and done. But I've got just the guy lined up to handle that for me (he's painting my Quicksilver now -- he's awesome). I've got a brand new backglass from BGResto, plastics from Pinball Rescue, and a new shooter gauge. All the shooter/add-a-ball parts from another front panel, etc. I've basically got parts stock from 2-ish games here, I think one good functioning game is certainly doable. That's assuming I can figure out how the whole thing works so I can fix it, of course. I couldn't know less about these (right now) if I tried. Lots and lots of learning ahead. For now, I'm just stripping old playfields and cleaning/organizing parts. I'm tired of tripping over the loose playfields in my shop!

There's plenty here that looks too far gone (original cab is in pieces in the bed of my truck, those two loose playfields are BAD, etc), I guess I'm confused what you're saying is too far gone from the first pic, besides the backglass and plastics which are obviously roached.

Looks like most every other late 60s/70s Williams EM to me. I don't see anything terribly intriguing that would make me want to play that, let alone own it. Then again, I'm an EM hater so my opinion means even less than most. But... Meh. The pointy people artwork from those Williams games also drives me absolutely bonkers.

I just watched a crap video of this game on youtube. It does not look very exciting. Looks like a drain-o-matic down the outlanes.

First pic in your OTHER post! Above the one with the decent machine. The playfields you were stripping are definitely toast!

Phew, you had me worried! Knowing as little as I do about EMs I was afraid maybe there was something I wasn't seeing. The first playfield I stripped was definitely a maus haus. The second one was definitely chewed on the bottom by mice -- as were half of the wires at the bottom of the original cab (WOOF). And the art is like...peeling off? I don't know, it's weird. It'll look fine hanging from my shop wall, 15 feet up. But that's it.

I can appreciate that my buddy really wanted to get this one going but the starting point was so bad, he really should have just run away screaming. Lol

I had a Daffie and though it was fairly fun. It's a zipper flipper AAB game so that alone is kind of cool. If I remember right the scoring felt a little imbalanced but not terrible. I got mine cheap and passed it along at the same price. It went to a friend that was looking for an affordable way to enter the hobby. I know he and his family enjoyed it. They had Christmas tournaments on it with prizes. Pretty cool. Anyway I think he still has it.

Anyone have any interest in a Williams Beat the Clock? I know someone who has one sitting in their basement who is trying to get rid of it. I am truly out of room.

Project Flash Gordon & Eight Ball Deluxe LE for $2500. Only one pic with ad, but it's a long-time member of Pinside in Ohio. If I didn't already own both these pins, I'd probably be trying to figure out some way to get these. Also--they're willing to break them up--$2k for FG, $500 for EBDLE. Both sound like a deal to me:

He wants to part it out and I can’t make time to get it with my pinball show a few days away.

Anybody want a Neptune project? I started on it but have kind of lost interest in working on this stuff.

No major hacks, complete with paperwork. Needs a backglass. Nice cabinet and pretty nice playfield. I'm going to start reassembling the playfield. Will need to be mechanically shopped out.

$1000 local pickup.

How many Hamm's Beer signs do you have on your wall? I always liked looking at those when my dad would drag me into some dive bar when he wanted a beer. It's unbelievable how much those bring on Ebay.

I have quite a few Hamm’s and other motion signs. They are a very collectible niche like pinball. Yes many go for stupid money. I have gotten lucky on quite a few of them.

Dayyumm! Great deal. I have an NOS "Poseidon" backglass (which would work), and an NOS playfield for it. Would have been on it like a duck on a June bug if I was anywhere near you.

Yeah I have another game coming soon. A working game. Hurray. Anyway was thinking I could get this one going to sell. This era Gottlieb always challenge my weak skillset. My eyes aren't great anymore and the idea of micro adjustments had me full of anxiety. Anyway it's going to a good dude who will get it dialed in, and I'll have some space.
