Eight ball Deluxe
$2,500
Lexington, KY

Me: from a distance it looks nice. Seller doesn’t say if it works. If it’s in good shape and they’d come down to $2k, it might be a good deal.
Edit - just noticed the bg is trashed. Maybe not such a good deal.

At least it can be replaced... Still waiting on someone, ANYone, to make one for the ,84 version.

If any game should be "free". Especially in that condition!
There's a bunch of good parts though.

Is the one coos offers 81 or 84? If it’s the 81 explain to him that no one makes the 84 and several collectors are looking for it. I’m sure he can source one to scan.

Likely the '81. I gave all the measurements and pics necessary to the good folks at CPR years ago and still nothing.

#24659 4 months ago

I had a backglass made for an '84 about a year ago by BGResto. It was beautiful. Took six months to get it, but it was worth it.

I will have to look into that!

Sorry if I missed it, but what did you provide them, was it pictures of existing unit or did you have to have it scanned or?

#24662 4 months ago

BGResto is definitely worth the wait. Just got an Exposition and Loop the Loop. For Exposition I was able to just send pics. Came out super nice. Loop the Loop he's done already, so no pics needed.

Coos pinball is in the Netherlands and also prints digital backglass films but he delivers within two weeks. Same quality. To save on shipping you can order a print from him, scrape the art off of your glass and apply his film yourself.

pinhead52 Ken has bought a lot of his backglass art.

Do a quick search and you'll find all the info you need on BGresto, including his website where he lists what back glasses he offers.

That’s what a Bgresto is, he just applies it to a piece of glass before shipping to you.

Ah. I need a one off recreated from pictures. A lot of pictures.

Need a prototype backglass recreated, or even translite created from myriad pictures of one off unit.

They had already made one in the past, so he just cranked off another one.

Quoted from bluespin:

The graphics are applied to the glass in a high heat vacuum oven. I have purchased two BGResto glasses, one for the '84 EBD, and the other for my Thunder Man. They both look terrific. These glasses are not quite as translucent as a regular BG or translite, so you should install LEDs in the backbox GI circuit.

I guess you don't have to worry about flaking.

Tri Zone
Swing-Along
Hayburners

I have an untested tri zone. Some acid on mpu, some wear on pf, looks like some newer coils. $500 in Connecticut. Also bump for 1963 gottlieb swing along. First game with spinners $350. And for the woodrail guys any interest in Williams hayburners 1?

It takes Steven up to a month to respond to your initial email inquiry, and another 2-6 months to make the glass, so I guess it's already "pre-flaked."

This is Steve’s old stuff. A lot of it is missing parts. Buyer’s premium is 20% on CC transactions. Most do not work. I heard the auction company brought in a tech to try and get some of it to at least boot. I looked through it about a year ago, a lot of the pins were just laying on the ground. Judging by the picture they have organized a lot of it.

I would have been interested in the Radical, but it’s a reimport, not knowing if it boots, what parts are missing, etc. Auctions usually draw high bids and people unhappy with what they won once they fully inspect it. This doesn’t sound like an exception to the rule.

Thanks to this thread, earlier today I threw in a bid on one listing for which I would be willing to make the pickup drive, but just got the "you've geen outbid" email (perhaps also thanks to this thread?). And, thanks to the dose of realism in this thread I am not upping my (admittedly low) bid. Good stuff, Miguel351 , Pinballemporium , and bluespin .

Probably the one I would have been after too. There are some other good games too, but not going to attend this one.

Hulk in northern Idaho. $650. Seller claims it works but needs 'balancing'... I'd scoop but broke and out of space.

I have noticed this with my BG Resto back glasses. They do not seem to let as much light through.

Looks like most of them are reimports. In another thread, someone mentioned that most of these were the leftovers from old container buys. Lots of three slotted coin doors...

He bought several games from me. I did three container buys back in the late 90’s. Hence the Fishtales missing the reel launcher. I revemoved all the big launchers as I had my first container come with the last three games just thrown on top and they slide all over and broke of IJ gun and STTNG gun.

I had bid on Whirlwind; the online pre-auction closed at $1700, hundreds above me. The Radical pre-auction closed at $3050. So these numbers become the opening prices for the live auction. If a lot is good it will be bid up; if not the pre-auction bid will 'win the day'. But to bluespin previous point, is that winning?

they don’t and the details are slightly fuzzy when the machine is turned on. I attribute that to the light being diffused through whatever material the print is made of.

On older em style games, especially gottliebs which had a lot of blocking ink and only lit certain parts, I've found that they don't light up quite right either, and it's easier to get hot spots with the leds you need to use to make them light up through the darker material. For games where the entire glass is lit it looks better

There's some good deals in there... if the games are complete. Surf N Safari for 1400? Taxi for 1800? Nice pickups for whoever got them.

Re-import games as noted previously by Scott. Sounds like games were missing parts in quite a few cases.

Go check out the link. Not one of those are good deals, they were f’ed up. Plus 20% fees on top of the prices you see listed.

#24694 3 months ago

I would buy that jokerz for that price. Maybe the baywatch, too. I miss my baywatch, and jokerz is a constant favorite at my parties.
Of course, VA is a bit of a long haul to drive from CA.

makes sense. i was a bit bummed when I noticed that but I’ve still purchased a half dozen or so of them over the years. great resource to have.

From the seller this pin ball machine is NOT currently working. It did work fine with many hours of play time before we moved it to Caddo Mills. We had a service guy look at it and he said it needs to be cleaned. We need it gone asap! Make me an offer See less

I’m wondering if anyone has used a stern em body to build a classic Stern ss pin like Quicksilver, Star Gazer, etc. I’ll post in the Stern Electronics Group.

#24700 3 months ago

I'm not done with it yet but, someone IS using a Stern EM body and it's me. But it's a Pinball EM

Sucks it's not an hour or two closer. I don't have time to run out that far.
