This one’s a scam. It’s posted for a ridiculous amount on eBay. I heard about it on Slam Tilt Podcast and thought it looked familiar so I checked.

These were all put in a warehouse/barn like 20 years ago. Most playfields are complete, backglass missing on all but SMDM and Cleopatra. Most if not all are non working and missing at least one board. I haven’t even tried piecing one together yet as I’m working on the two other pins I picked up in the lot. Some playfields are in pretty good shape, some not so good.

Star Wars is basically a parts machine as it had extensive water damage.

The Cleopatra was in a house as a display piece. Powers on but doesn’t start a game.

Anyone interested in the entire lot or a single game let me know. I’m listing here before using the dreaded Facebook marketplace. Located in Grand Junction, CO. They all obviously need a ton of work to bring them back.

Game list:
Bally Six Million Dollar Man
Bally Supersonic
Bally Strikes and Spares
Bally Harlem Globetrotters
Williams Phoenix
DE Star Wars
Unknown EM
Gottlieb SS Cleopatra
Stern Meteor (missing playfield mechs)
Gameplan Family Fun cocktail
Roy Clark cocktail

(Star Trek not for sale)

Same, I'd be interested to know how complete star wars is as well as a bally or two. Would love meteor but seems too parted out

If anyone closer to STL is picking anything up from this lot I would make an offer on the Meteor cab.

I don’t want to drive out there, but I still have a fully populated meteor playfield, and there’s tons of meteor parts playfields floating around. It can be saved. Same with Star Wars.

It is unfortunately. The Scam-O-Meter in my head was going off as soon as I saw it. A place loaded with games, with a nice FG next to it. Game listed at half it's value. I messaged within 15 minutes and said I take it at 2K and could send a PayPal deposit if needed to hold it or just pick up tomorrow morning at 11am and pay cash.

Ran all the pictures thru Tineye reverse image search. None found. Positive sign, pics weren't copied from available sites.

"Schedule too busy tomorrow, Tuesday is best."
"How much of a deposit" ($500)
"I'll call in couple minutes." (NOT)
"My PayPal is messed up right now." (Chargebacks?)

Then asked for deposit thru Flutterwave which I heard of. Googled and looked legit enough. But his link never would allow me to advance past my name and email. Told him to call me.... Crickets.

WHY bother with this? My deposit would of been on a CC I could reverse. The address he provided for pick-up is a townhouse community without a single garage via google maps.

Dick.

If a deal is too good to be true…SCAM !

Price of 2k was the giant red flag.

Not always. A couple of weeks ago I snagged a very popular Bally SS that Pinside average price is $3800. I paid full price on a CL ad and sent a deposit. Game has a mint BG, beautiful PF which needed a complete shop job and some board work. Paid $1250 from an operator who mainly does skee balls and video poker. Just wanted rid of it.

Sometimes great deals happen. Not tonight.

There's a Bally Beat The Clock in NJ someone should grab, needs some work. I could use a scan of one of those plastics so if one of you picks this up let me know!

RARE HEAD-TO-HEAD COCKTAIL ALERT

Manufacturer: Visa
Game/Type: War / SS Head-to-Head
Month/Year: 1978
Production: RARE

Cost: $1400 (Sent seller a message in detail with links that it’s worth significantly less. Beat him down so YOU don’t have to!)

Location: Clinton, ME
Link/Contact: https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/6682041381829264/

OP: “I have a one of a kind antique pinball machine called war it’s made for two people to battle each other. It does work it does need a circuitboard that is only $50. I know that there is only been two online in the last 56 years I had it appraised and it’s worth up to $2000 and I want 1400 or best reasonable offer. It is in really good shape. I would take trades like an ATV or dirtbike trades welcome cars trucks whatever you got, but I would like to cash most of all or cash and trade too let me know my name is Nick”

FYI if anyone is considering this--be sure to ask about what the seller means about the circuit board. There are no drop-in circuit board replacements for this game available from anywhere. It's too old and too obscure.

There are 5 boards in this game--the MPU, the power supply, the regulator, and two score displays.

The regulator is the only thing you could potentially replace with something else without too much effort. But technically, that's not a PCB--just a TO-style regulator in a socket and mounted in a heatsink.

If the regulator isn't working, then the game wouldn't be functioning at all.

If this game is missing any other circuit boards, I would recommend avoiding it unless you intend to make your own boards, or intend to convert the game to utilize an arduino or something. You will likely never find original PCBs.

Uh, no. There's been at least 4 (including mine) on pinside alone.

I've also seen a few more pop up on facebook in the past few years.

For sale Abra-Ca-Dabra Pinball in Canadian Dollars. I junked a better one for playfield which went to the USA, & the poor backglass in the head turned into a liquor cabinet on the wall of a garage for a friend. If you are in Canada I can help with the shipping depot to depot, or store it at the shop until it goes by truck to USA or a future show on east coast in the future. I do not think I know this game or owner.

Cosmetics suggest this is an ideal machine to restore.

I believe a working mpu will get this game functioning.

The "loud scream" sounds like one of the regulators has failed on the power supply (I think it's the 7905), which, due to the weird System 1 design, causes all solenoids to pull in and all three tones to play simultaneously from the sound board. Had this same problem on a Count Down, was an easy fix.

#24649 4 months ago

I now have two booting Paragon projects in my possession. (including a nice spare playfield) - I'm going to be putting a listing together for all 2 1/2 games for $3k. I figure you could make one nice one of out them both, (one has a nice cab) sell it and then have a player's condition one as profit. I'd do it myself but I have absolutely no time. Let me know if you're interested.

The very definition of project pinballs!

Also have a booting GamePlan Star Trip, total project GamePlan Foxy Lady, and an extra Star Trip playfield that could be sold.
