Watch out for this asshat. At first he was real slow with responses. We finally agree to the sale, I made a plan with him to get it 2 days later. He said he needed reconfirmation on Fridayi was going to still come. So I co firmed, told him when I left, no response, I am about 1.5 hrs in to this 5 hr commute and suddenly he writes back saying he has received new offers for more and he has heard pinball machines are very valuable asking me if I can go up on our agreed upon price.
Dishonest, flaky, disrespectful and just a shitty person.

Darn it.
Anyone know the seller? I was looking for a Stingray.
Quoted from Jets_1479:I made a plan with him to get it 2 days later.
There's your mistake. You basically have to drop everything and leave immediately to get deals.

I know one in Buffalo if you wanna drive that far

Very true. When dealing with normal & honest people, sending an immediate deposit might help; which would be considered a binding contract.
Whenever I sell on FB Marketplace, 90% of the inquiries are total flakes and no-shows. Sometimes I get lucky and someone will send a deposit so I will hold for them.

That's one thing I offer right away.
A small deposit(100>less to hold) for 24 hours for me to start a trip if it's somewhat far away(500+mi)
The great thing is that I've never been stiffed and the seller has never said yes to a deposit offered by me.
Perhaps I have been lucky.
I try to communicate everything to seller( vehicle rental, proof of monies, ETA, ect...)with pictures.

Primarily looking for playfield and backglass for my universal Bally/Stern cab. The fact this one is a dead project makes it ideal.

I located a Meteor in Ft. Worth on craigslist. It as marked as pending sale. I made contact with seller and said I was a buyer at her price if things changed. Things changed. The seller contacted me and said she was trying to go in order of first come first served. But she said she was having to deal with flakes and no-shows. She was not in a mood to bargain. Fortunately, she lived 10 miles from my Sister-in-law who I asked to make the drive and pay for the pin. I headed south the next day.
I also have offered to make deposits and was turned down. But none of my sellers were going to ship. They were cash on glass. Lot of miles.

I always offer as well, I did the same. Told him when re confirmed daily, offered a deposit, sent him a maps picture showing my route but in the end it’s unscrupulous person.

Seller sent me additional photos. That thing is toasted. Cabinet is badly damaged, playfield is shot, backglass is flaked. Only good thing is it does have a new MPU.
Needs a TON of work. Not worth the $1500 in my opinion unless you just REALLY want an Earthshaker.

Yeah I think $1000 is close to an actual value on that game. Seller is dead set on $1500 though.

Here is the house where that cabinet is located. Check out the driveway. The driveway is bigger than my house and my front yard and my back yard combined . Lot of concrete. I have seen used car lots smaller than this driveway.

I’m calling the estate salespeople tomorrow. This older guy is going to come in to buy your pinball machine. He doesn’t wear expensive clothes but that’s because he doesn’t want everyone to know that he’s rich. Price accordingly.
