Hi everyone, looking for my first project pin. Have done a lot of repairs on my Space Shuttle and Space Station and looking to get my feet wet on my first ground up project/rebuild. Looking for something Williams from the 80s like Blackout, Firepower, Comet, etc. Something like that. If you guys have something, let me know!

Long Island? Sounds eerily similar to this one in Massachusetts.

It might be the same one. The pinside seller says he is selling for a friend.

VERY rough and sad Amigo playfield. Much better examples out there.

Quoted from tomdrum:

If anyone wants a 1979 Williams Stellar Wars widebody, PM me. I was offered one which is really nice cosmetically. Cabinet is very nice, good BG, PF has minor insert wear in the black in front of the flippers but not too bad. Starts and plays with one bad solenoid, driver board issue from the info I got. Game in MD, between Baltimore and Frederick. Seller wanted $1600 but will take less I'm assuming. Too much for me but this is a home use game for 40 years.

I believe I bought a WMS Expo off this guy 15 or 20 years ago. I remember playing his Stellar Wars! Nice guy, I remember he had about half dozen other games set up in various modes of restoration; I live about 15 minutes from his location.

Probably missing the head and almost certainly missing the playfield glass. Major restoration project. Nevertheless, cool. Hasanov’s YouTube channel had a similar unit demonstrated recently.

tomcons has recreated the playfield glass. I could be mistaken but the head is just a light box essentially. A backglass with a light bulb. He could fill you in with more details. It could be recreated as well.

Playfield glass is missing. Someone redid the backglass?
Edit: Aha, I see! The playfield glass has much of the artwork on it.
That's really unique!

Gorgeous game. Fun to play. Yeah, the backbox is just a lightbox.

Bally’s Space Invaders pinball machine in working order. It does need some TLC as the legs are slightly bent, the top screen needs to be refastened and the layout is a bit faded.
ME: Needs a new playfield, really blown out.

On the plus side, the red in the clone chamber and slingshots plastics isn't faded at all, unlike most SI's. I'm actually kinda envious.

Manufacturer: Gottlieb
Game/Type: Flying Carpet / EM 1 Player
Month/Year: March 1972
Production: 3,170
Cost: $100
Location: Globe, AZ
Contact/Link: Corey Busboom phoenix.craigslist.org link

Condition: “I have a old pinball machine I saved. I am not trying to find it a home. The glass is broken and the legs are missing. Good for parts. All the internals are there. Its made by Gottlieb .the machine was a flying carpet. I got the machine in this condition. Still good for parts.”

I’d like to think that this could still be saved.

Does a Flying Carpet really need legs?

Flying Carpet got a lot of my change as teen. There was one in a pizza shop close to my home. 3 games for a quarter usually meant playing 5-6 games. 1st EM I bought in 2000. Lasted 4 years in the gameroom. Always wondered what that game would of been like with drop targets instead of just targets.

Wish I were closer. Great deal but gas to get it kills any distance over 100 miles

Just FYI, the "pinside only" tags need to be lowercase with no space between the words. Otherwise, it won't work.

#23542 1 year ago

Thanks. I’ve been wondering if it worked.

I’ll try again when I find a project.

If you notice me posting one, please let me know if I got it correct. Thanks

As my playing skills have improved the last few years and I can now at least put up a half way decent fight with Eight Ball, I would like to have one. EB is a tough pin to play and I did not like it back then.

This distance on this kills it for me.

Never thought I'd own it because as a kid it kicked my ass and I moved on to easier games. But I found a nice one close.

It's not a project price but not a bad price for a rare bird.

I guarentee that machine is in worse shape than the few lousy pics show. And that price is way high.
